That was horrible, me and my crew ate here and we ended up with stomach pain and diarrhea, stay away from this place,i order Mongolian beef 13.25 and at the end they changed me 22.00,
I order the same thing every time I go to this establishment. I order broccoli with garlic sauce. It has nothing else in it but broccoli and garlic sauce. Yet, sometimes when my food comes out, it has chicken or beef or onions cabbage, water chestnuts, and all kinds of other stuff in it... therefore I send it back. I placed an order to-go of the same "broccoli with garlic sauce" and it was wrong so when I came back to get it straight, the female owner told me that she would redo my order this time but that she will not redo it again in the future because I often say my order shouldn't have all that extra stuff in it. The male owner confirmed to her that I always order the same thing and that it should have nothing but broccoli and garlic sauce in it. The female owner was snarky and implied that I was lying, but the man again confirmed that what I was saying was accurate. I don't need any more of their food. They don't need any more my money nor my generous tips that I have spent with them for many years (since the day they opened their restaurant in Hartsville).
Got our food & drinks & our cup had something nasty stuck to the inside of the glass. Wasn’t offered anything off the bill. Food was bland.

I've been going to the golden dragon for about the last 5 years in Hartsville. The food, atmosphere, and service is 2nd to none in my opinion. The waitstaff and management has always been kind and very attentive. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The waitress came to our table and stood there talking in her native language. At first I didn't understand what she was doing, but then I realized that she was talking on her phone via her bluetooth device. It was rude. She should have waited until she was done to come and stand at our table. She finally asked what we wanted to drink and then went away talking on the phone again.
I ordered Chicken with Cashews. Instead of cashews, I received peanuts. Given that I dislike peanuts, I was very annoyed. If they weren't going to use cashews, they should have told me up front so I could have ordered something else. I ordered brown rice to go with my food instead of white. They brought everything else and said my brown rice would be right out. I ate almost half of my plate before they brought the rice out. I ended up eating a few bites before we ended up getting boxes (I will be picking out the peanuts and adding cashews at home). Aside from hating peanuts, the rest of my food was pretty good. My husband wasn't a fan of his compared to the Chinese takeout we normally get in town though.
The owner seems very nice, but that's not enough to make us go back. Peanuts for cashews made that dish taste completely different than it should have. Not telling the customer you are going to substitute one of the items that is in the name of the dish is just inexcusable.

Three reasons why I won’t eat here again: 1 — I ordered Chicken with Cashews and they substituted peanuts for the cashews. Cashew is literally in the name! I do not like peanuts unless it’s in peanut butter format. If you are out of cashews or too cheap to use cashews, let the customer know so they can order something else. It’s not a suitable substitute. The rest of it was good, but peanuts instead of cashews completely changed the flavor (not in a good way) and kind of ruined the whole thing for me. I will be roasting my own cashews to put in the rest. 2 — I ordered brown rice instead of white. They brought our food out and said the brown rice would be right out. I had eaten almost half of my plate before it arrived. I ate only a couple of bites of rice before I was ready for a box. 3 — The waitress approached our table when we sat down and began speaking in another language while standing there. It took a bit to realize that she was talking on her phone via Bluetooth. She stopped long enough to ask us what we wanted to drink and then resumed her phone conversation. The owner of the restaurant is very nice, but the peanut substitution alone without mentioning it was enough to make me not want to go back.
