Called Sam Kendall’s on Tuesday for a last-minute surprise gathering on Friday for my son, who is leaving for college. They reserved their private dining area for our party. We had 72 people attend, and the staff accommodated us all. The younger kids had a table to themselves very close to the private dining area, and every employee ensured we were well taken care of. The food was delicious, the service was superb, and the atmosphere was perfect. I highly recommend Sam Kendall’s of Hartsville.

Stopped late last night at 9 pm. Our waiter was awesome and took care of our orders. Chicken pasta with garlic bread sure was a great choice but the open face steak sandwich and chicken sandwich are next on my list. My better half loved the juicy chicken breast on her sandwich. Thank you guys and hope to see you sooner.

A wonderful experience! Luke was our waiter. He was great. Very polite, positive, very knowledgeable about the menu. The food was great too. We had the fish special and started with the crab bisque soup. My only regret: my food was so good I forgot to take a picture.
Classy bar not so much as the bartender sets her phone flashlight on a cocktail shaker to file her nails right in front of me. Didn't do much as I struggled with my medium rare stake that was very well done.

Went for a mid-afternoon early dinner with family we were visiting in Hartsville. Nice laid back place, good food and excellent service.

We were visiting in town and decided to eat here because it was walking distance from our hotel. We first decided to eat in the rooftop bar but there was only one bartender working and it was busy for just one person. We went back to the restaurant and was seated. The greeter was very friendly (she even walked us to the area to get to the rooftop bar previously because we couldn’t understand her directions).
The service was good. I wish I remember our waitresses name because she was so friendly and nice and we felt like we knew her forever.
The food was okay. I enjoyed the stuffed mushrooms. The calamari came out cold and rubbery but we told the waitress and she had a new, fresh one made. The seafood pasta was good, although it could have used a little more salt or seasoning. And the fish was good. Not sure what they did to the asparagus but it was delicious.
The ambiance is the restaurant was nice and relaxing, romantic even, but also good for families. The rooftop bar was even cute and comfy.
Overall, the experience was nice and if in the area we would come back. I’m going to try to find out our waitress name to update this review because she was awesome.
