This was probably my sixth trip to Sam Kendalls in Hartsville. I have to wonder if this is as good as it gets? The food is mediocre at best and sometimes even disappointing. The prices are high compared to the quality and volume of the food. Unfortunately, I'll go back only out of necessity and stick to the salads which are very good.
Had a wonderful date night with my woman was actually my second time going, but over all outstanding. Emily was a big part of that would highly recommend her every time I go as my server.
First of all the atmosphere in this restaurant is awesome! The best thing we ate was the creme brûlée. Other than that… the food was meh. Ordered a steak medium… it came out well well done. Ordered a warm bacon dressing salad…. Dressing was not warm … it was cold dressing and salad as basically all spine not much else was in there. And lastly, ordered lobster hot pot which I assumed was supposed to be a little lobster casserole. I’m\nNot sure what I got but see pic...
