Came here two weeks ago. Service was great, and food was great until my husband came home with an awful case of food poisoning that night. We ate the exact same things except he had a White Russian and filet au poivre as his entree. I called, texted, and wrote them a message on social media to make them aware but no response. We love HHI but won’t be making it back here again.

Have heard about Alfred’s from family members and friends on the island for several years now and we finally decided to go for a nice dinner on a Tuesday evening. We were not disappointed from the recommended wine to the fresh rolls, the salad, the French onion soup, and the main courses, the filet and the short rib. We also got a dessert to go and they did it nicely with a candle lit for us to blow out before we left. Thanks Will! The rolls were some of the best I have ever had, the soup was up there as well! Definitely a hidden gem on the island for a nice dinner. We sat at one of the outside tables and it was great, more quiet than being inside if you want more intimate conversation. Everything was really top notch.

My husband and I came here for his birthday dinner. We were immediately seated since we had a reservation. Waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and overall provided excellent service. The best part was when they remembered I stated the reason for our dinner was for my husband birthday, they brought over a slice of birthday cake which was very thoughtful. Overall a wonderful experience, good people and great food. Thank you!

I’m visiting my brother from Boston this week and we’ve tried a few other restaurants, but Alfred’s is by far at the top of the list. The atmosphere, service and food was amazing. The seafood outstanding.. I will definitely go back on my next trip! Highly recommend it.

Wonderful meal. Changed it up a bit and got three appetizers as the meal. Gorgonzola salad, mushroom soup and the seafood mornay. Phenomenal and it was fun to have a variety for my meal. Fabulous cocktails and expanded beer options for Oktoberfest! Perfect service as always from Trent. Appreciate the experiences we have at Alfred's!

Food is excellent, inside dining is tight due to size. I do not recommend eating outdoors. Too much activity when you are trying to enjoy your meal. The food is what keeps us coming back. Never been disappointed with the menu or the quality of the food or drinks. Wine is good and reasonably priced. I highly recommend this restaurant,

We had a most wonderful meal. This was the best mushroom soup I have ever had, there was also a delicious seafood mornay appetizer . This was followed by a German mixed platter that we shared. Our server was efficient, but never cracked a smile. Does that go with the German theme? All in all this was a great experience.

Our first visit to Alfred's was a good one! Enjoyed this small restaurant, good friendly service, nice size portions, authentic German cuisine with a menu to please everyone! We enjoyed the veal chop special with mushroom sauce, the pork shank was outstanding , potato pancakes and delicious desserts :) We will definitely be back next visit for sure!

Always outstanding. Whether you're ordering a German entree or the halibut, the food is outstanding as is the service. Last night Trent waited onus and was attentive in a timely and polite manner. It is a small place so it can be noisy.

Five adults and an 18 month old. Service for childs dinner was immediate and it allowed time for adults to relax and enjoy. I had the potato crusted halibut with Chardonnay sauce - absolutely delicious. Others ordered german dishes (house specialities) and all were also delicious. Topped it off with homemade apple strudel. Starting diet tomorrow. Favorite restaurant in the low country.

Again we had an excellent meal at Alfred's !!!!!!! The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Everytime we come to Hilton head island we always eat at Alfred's at least once!!!!

Had a wonderful meal here with friends who are regulars! All the dinners looked delicious and everyone enjoyed them. Even made my meal special because of diet. Excellent service
