Always a first class food experience. The pate was excellent. My wife and I had the potato encrusted halibut. It was very good. Friends had the sauerbraten which was a show stopper. Excellent, flavorful! Our server, Trent , did a great job,

This was our first time at Alfred's and our dinner and every aspect of our time there was truly first class. I highly recommend making reservations because the dining room is a very small and intimate space, although there are a few tables outside of the dining room. The diversity of the menu, wine list, service, superb quality of our appetizers and main courses have convinced us to return to Alfred's each time to visit HHI.

Our half an hour wait for our table was worth it. My wife had a rack of lamb, which she loved. Given that Alfred's is a German restaurant, I thought it appropriate to have a German special. The grilled Bratwurst was very good. A special word of thanks to Trent, who was very helpful. Alfred's can be crowded and noisy, but It's a keeper.

We have eaten here on numerous occasions. Always enjoy the food. We like the improvements that have taken place since new ownership. Our only disappointment last night had to do with the temperature setting with the ceiling fans running. We asked if the temperature could be adjusted and were told it couldn't. I went to the car and got a jacket for my wife to put on. Noticed others who had added layers as well. We were freezing!

We are visitors to Hilton Head. This was our second time to Alfred's-liked it so much the first time that we came back. The food was delicious and large portions. I had the Weinerschnitzel-and spaetzle-yum. My husband had the Halibut Provencale which he loved. We shared the potato pancakes-two large pancakes that would've given four of us a nice portion for an appetizer. The service was attentive. It's a small place, inside about 50 seats and an open kitchen which is fun. We will definitely be back next year on our next trip to Hilton Head.

Alfred's is a hidden gem on Hilton Head. Professional service and excellent food. The halibut is always great and they have the best veal chop on the island. We go regularly and have never been disappointed.

We always come to Alfred's twice a year when visiting Hilton Head. Last fall we had an issue that Linda made right on this visit. Kudos for making it right! This visit everything was delicious as usual. Tried mushroom soup for the first time. It will be on my list to order again. Sauerbraten was great, meaty and delicious. Red cabbage is always a delight. Great restaurant! We will be back.

Top five stairs, however it was very crowded, it is no longer a secret hideaway with great food and service, as it is a now very crowded restaurant in a very crowded town. No longer worth the high prices.

Whenever we are lucky enough to visit Hilton Head Island, we treat ourselves to a dinner at Alfred's. This unique German restaurant provides us the opportunity to experience some old world cuisine. We started with potato pancakes with applesauce. For our entree's my wife had the Jaegerschnitzel, and I was treated to a great plate of Sauerbraten. In addition to the main courses, the sides that accompanied these meals were delicious. The red cabbage was perfect as well as the Spätzle. We will be back in a few months, hopefully to enjoy more of this fine food.

Always delicious and outstanding service. The halibut Provençal and the grilled pork chop are our go to dinners. We never miss Alfred's when we visit Hilton head- which is several times a year. William was a knowledgeable and attentive server. Can't wait to return! The mushroom soup is the best I've ever had too.

A wonderful restaurant. We like sitting outside in the nice weather since inside is small and very loud. Great German food but lots of other things too. One of a kind on the island . We will be back.
