Carlitos Mexican Bar and Grill

We found Carlitos on Google Maps when we were looking for a Mexican restaurant in Hilton Head. We went on July 4 and we were seated right away. The food was great. I can verify the portion sizes are large as others have mentioned in their review. Had a very “local” feel to it. It was tucked in off the street and if you have been to HHI, you know things can be hard to see from the road. My family loves Mexican and this place did not disappoint. We recommended it to several people while we were in Hilton Head for the week.

Unexpected find on our bike ride but it was truly a gem. Great food and service.

The best service and food we have had on HHI. Price and quantity was also fair. Could tell from the minute we arrived it was a hard working family ran business. Everyone worked together to make sure customers had what they needed. Food came out fast and fresh. Chips and salsa were great too. We visit HHI often and so glad we found this hidden gem.

Amazing place, authentic… best Mexican food in Hilton Head for sure!
The servers were on it, and again delicious food. I got birria because that’s what I’ve been obsessed with recently, and it was probably the best I have had.

Amazing food and incredible service! Every dish was delicious, and the staff was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. A fantastic dining experience from start to finish. Highly recommend, and I’ll definitely be back when we are in HHI.

I was very disappointed with my recent visit to Cabritas Mexican Restaurant. I ordered a molcajete, which the menu clearly states should include rice and salad on the side, but it was served without them. When I asked the server, she denied that it came with these sides, despite the menu's description. This lack of accuracy and poor customer service greatly detracted from my overall experience. I will never be returning to this establishment, and I sincerely hope somebody reads this and never comes back.

We’ve had dinner here 3 nights this week and we’re locals. It was fresh, fast and delicious.

Favorite place.

Great food and very nice couple who run the place

1st visit and it was outstanding! Great fast service and the food was delicious. I had the steak fajitas which we sizzling out of the kitchen and very tasty. If you are in Hilton Head, definitely give them a try!
