My family has come here for 10+ years during our vacations. Catch 22 is always amazing!

My husband and I were just turned away from this establishment, as the owners made it abundantly clear that our presence as people of color was HIGHLY unwelcome. There were SEVERAL people welcomed inside after us, who were dressed either similarly or FAR more shabbily than us, and being that this is a BEACH TOWN and there were no notifications regarding dress code on the website, we thought nothing of it.

Obviously, I’ll see to it that my husband and I use our respective platforms to ensure that this restaurant won’t have the WRONG sleeveless patrons darkening the doorway of their private club again. If this is how TWO retired Atlanta police Sergeants with over 25 years of combined service are treated casually at the door, God only knows how others will be treated when these same people are touching their food.

Out of respect for our intelligence, though, we would request that owners forgo any half hearted apologies, explanations, expressions of welcoming environments of inclusivity, decrying of discriminatory practices, or announcements of proximity to people/organizations of cultural importance, as consistency in your messaging will ensure your patronage isn’t sullied by any more unsavory characters.

This was the second time we had visited Catch 22 on the advice of friends. Our first visit was just the two of us and we had a great dinner! We returned with our large family visiting and our meals were delicious, however..... I'm unsure if our server was a new hire, but he did not seem comfortable in his role. He was asked about food suggestions, he didn't know. We had ordered a second bottle of wine and it did not arrive to the table. The restaurant was not busy. We had to ask another server to get the wine we had ordered. Two of our family members announced they had become engaged that day. Several other guests around our table were congratulatory and kind. Our server did nothing, said nothing, offered nothing to the newly engaged couple. This is not how to attract repeat customers.

Blown away. The vibes of the place are immaculate. Tracy started off by being the most accepting as we were a party of 8 at 8:45 pm. They closed at 9 pm. They still took us ! Nikki and Abigal were fantastic and made the experience incredible. They never rushed us to order. The food is so good. They kept conversation flowing and were in no rush to get anywhere!
They wanted to serve us and wanted us to enjoy our experience.
This is by far the best restaurant experience in Hilton Head. It is the hidden gem in Hilton Head. Must try.

The bread fresh.
The Carolina Trout was flash fried and the portion was large. The breading was light and crispy. I selected spinach instead of the pepper aioli.
The Cracked Pepper Tuna was perfectly seared and sliced thin with wasabi and a creamy garlic sauce; however, it would have been more preferable with soy sauce.
The Key Lime pie was very good, but the texture had more of a cheesecake texture.
The atmosphere can accommodate a family, but it feels more formal or for mature audiences.
Definitely make reservations.

Wanted to have a more upscale meal than local seafood holes. While a little more expensive, the 4 people all reported food as bland. interior is dated with overpriced art on the walls. It seems this restaurant is in the mode of repeating the past and depending on local returning customers. Really needs some updating. Service was very friendly but can only compensate so much for lacking food experience.

We sat at the bar for early dinner. Our bartender and server was Derek one of the nicest gentleman that you will ever meet. Food was outstanding as we had sushi grade tuna one of the best we've ever had with excellent sides. Definitely will be back!
