Chez Georges Bistro & Bar

The food at Chez George was hands down one of the best meals I’ve had. The layers of flavor were out of this world. The chef clearly knows his way around food and I can’t speak anything negative about it. Service was wonderful. Highly recommend!

We always find time to dine here when we are in HHI whether it be for brunch, lunch or dinner. They do a phenomenal job. The staff is always so friendly and give excellent service. The food is amazing and delicious. This is such a gem and we’re so thankful that we can also purchase their baguettes and pate for pick up! If you haven’t been here, you’re missing out.

We had a really lovely New Year’s Eve dinner. We had a toddler and everyone was very accommodating. Hannah, one of the hosts, really stepped up and helped make our night special!

The restaurant lived up to its reputation. Seared frois gras, escargot, eggplant, pork chop, duck, frech onion soup were the best. Finish with a wonderful creme brulee. Sommelier was very helpful too.

The food and service are always spot on. We dine at Chez George every time we are in HH and have never been disappointed. My only small complaint is that when the dining room is full it is a bit loud. So if you like quiet, show up early. This place is amazing.

As a Hilton Head Island resident for over 45-years, I highly recommend this place. Last night was my 3rd time dining here with friends and the cuisine & service were excellent on a bustling Saturday night in November. Steak Frites with NY Strip was cooked medium rare to perfection. For a moment, I thought I was in Paris.

Quite simply Chez George is my go-to favorite spot on the island. They have a charming atmosphere, excellent bartender and sommelier, friendly staff and top quality French food. The cocktails we had last night were perfect, and everyone loved their food. I can't wait to go back!

Service, atmosphere and cocktails were excellent. The food was just ok and way, way over priced and not worth it! The Steak Tar Tar was great but that was the only thing that was great. The special, veal chops, were good but over cooked. We asked to share the special and was charged $150 for the plate. RIDICULOUS! Won't go back.

We have recently moved to the Hilton Head area from Houston, where we had a couple of favorite French restaurants. Chez Georges is right up there with the best of them. The food was superb! As was the service. We're excited to return and try other items on the menu.

We had the most phenomenal lunch to celebrate our son's 18th birthday. From the French 76's to the cheeseboard, the moules frites, the French onion soup, salads, and hamburgers, everything was delicious. Not to mention the creme brulee and chocolate mousse. The waitstaff was very attentive, and Chef George was so gracious as he visited our table on numerous occasions. We are from Charleston, so we are pretty spoiled with our dining options and have high expectations, and Chez Georges did not fail to deliver. It is up there with the best of the best.

These special event wine dinners feature amazing food and wine pairings. Monica and George of Chez George curate a fantastic evening at a reasonable price. They are the best restaurant on the island.

Great evening! Our waitress Tanner was phenomenal. Appetizers really good, main course fantastic and Crème Brulee best we've ever had. Highly recommend and make sure you ask for Tanner!
