Gross avocado turned us off our entire meals. There was barely a single slice of our avocado salad that did not have brown or gray avocado.

Wow!!! How unfortunate!! Good food! Good service! Terrible deal. We spent $90 and got barely enough food to fill 4 adults. The food was delicious but for what we paid it was a complete rip off. It's a real shame. There are so many delicious restaurants to eat at on beautiful Hilton Head, I would stay away from this one.

New location is much nicer. Not sure if you have to pay to get into Sea Pines to reach the restaurant. Poke Bowl is great.

Really enjoyed our dinner, the bacon burger was perfect and full of flavor, and the spicy fish tacos were also perfectly done and tasty. Highly recommended!!

With such good reviews, I expected WAY more than what we got. Just 2 of us. My daughter ordered a burger, which she didn't eat much of (wish I'd at least tried it). I ordered steak tacos on the recommendation of our waiter. They tasted a bit like burgers, and when I peeked inside, I found tiny bits of meat that looked like chopped up burger plus a bunch of lettuce and sauce. Tasted like a fast food burger. Tacos were served with French fries that were yummy. ~$18 each. With tax and tip, just over $20. SO not what we were looking for.Food gets 2 stars because the French fries were goodService gets 3 because the recommendation by the waiter was badAtmosphere gets 2 because it was just blah.

We ate here for the first time during our most recent trip to Sea Pines. If you’re staying in Sea Pines, I would highly recommend you bike over to Chow Daddy’s for dinner. It’s a smaller restaurant but they were able to seat our family of five right away, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Crayons for the kids, a nice drink section, and plenty of out-of-the-ordinary taco and burger options. It ended up being one our favorite dinners on vacation!

Ate at Chow Daddy’s by the lighthouse for dinner & can not say enough good about this place. I had the Trippy taco salad + pulled chicken & raspberry tea & my husband had the fish tacos and we both were raving about our food. Our waitress was super kind and gave great recommendations! Our only complaint was that the outdoor dining was beautiful, but there were flies swarming our food, so we spent most of our time eating and shooing flies away, but to no fault of the restaurant. Great food, we will definitely be back next time we are in town.

Our first time to visit the new location at Sea Pines Center. We had chips with quacamole and queso and they were outstanding! Then we shared the American Burger, one of the best we have had on Hilton Head! If Dan and Carlos are there, we will enjoy wonderful service! The beer was cold and the Sangria was delicious!

Upscale place for burgers & tacos. The smell from the wood smoker was a little overwhelming at first but not unpleasant. Seating is small (<40 inside) & a little tight. But food was really good. Our group enjoyed the bacon & cheddar burger as well as the pulled chicken tacos.

We went for a nice casual outdoor experience. We heard this was THE place for burgers. We were seated and it took forever to be seen. Customers who were seated AFTER us, already had their drinks and appetizers. Service was slow and when our food came, our server asked if we needed anything. We mentioned a few things and we never got them. And we never saw her again. The server never came back. In the meantime, the table next to us was invaded by flies. Not one or two. Like 50. And I'm not exaggerating. They were everywhere. We couldn't even eat. It was disgusting. They were all over the food and drinks. We covered our food and were going to be asked to be moved inside. But we sat and waited, and waited and waited. We finally got up and went inside just to get the bill and leave. We told the host about the flies and his response was 'We know". Very disappointing. Will not be recommending or returning.

My family and I dined here for dinner on a Friday. Vibes were good, food was better, service was amazing. I had the Bacon Burger - just saying you can't go wrong there. What I'd like to shout out right now though is their employee's kindness. I happened to (stupidly) leave my wallet on the table as we were leaving - and we left the island the next day. I didn't realize what I had done until we got back home (West Virginia - 11 hours away) so I frantically called them asking if they had the wallet. Within minutes, a host named Dan (shoutout Dan, you legend) called me back saying they indeed did have the wallet and I sheepishly asked if they could mail me my wallet? Dan doesn't hesitate "Of course!" he exclaims.I ask for his Venmo so I can pay for the shipping and for his inconvenience, but Dan won't hear of it "Oh no sir, that's not necessary" he says over and over. I begrudgingly accepted that they'd pay to correct my stupidity - and Dan promptly texted me the tracking number for my package's arrival. Less than 2 days later, my wallet arrived at home.Eat here...please eat here. Even if the food wasn't awesome (again, it is both in quantity and quality), even if the location wasn't great (again, it is bike-able within Sea Pines or a less than 7 minute drive if you've got a crowd), even if the service wasn't amazing (again, it is - our waitress was attentive, yet knew to give space when needed for us to enjoy our meal and their great locale) you should eat here. Why? Beyond the obvious? Eat here to reward Dan and the genuinely good people who work there - people who do nice things for others not because they have to, but because they can.Chow Daddy's - thank you for all your help and an amazing meal.
