Crane's Tavern & Steakhouse

The “braised beef” was more like beef stew than sirloin tips...not what I would have expected. I was looking to try something different...but would not order that again. My fiancee ordered the meatloaf and loved it.

A wonderful resturant. Unique dinning experience in Hilton Head as it has a NYC steakhouse feel. Have no fear, the seafood dishes are outstanding(scallops were delicious). The service (Shane) was wonderful. Do not leave with out the Deep fried Apple pie for dessert.

Food here was absolutely delicious we got a prime rib and salmon 2 French onion soups and double chocolate brownies for dessert and we were extremely impressed with the dinner meals. We haven’t had a meal this good from a restaurant in a long time

Absolutely unforgettable experience. Great service from the second you walk in the door. Beautiful old school steak house. The food was incredible and if you have ever been on the fence about beets you have to try the stuffed beets!! They were amazing. Prime rib was fantastic and cooked to perfection. Diane was our server and she was fantastic. A true joy!! Thank you for everything!

A Hilton Head tradition that NEVER disappoints. Excellent meals perfectly prepared. We have been guests for 30+ years and would never visit the Island without a couple of visits. Nice to see you Mrs. Crane!

1st time and will definitely not be our last. Annual trip to HH and will definitely add Cranes to our dining list. Diane provided excellent service and the food was amazing. Halibut cooked perfectly and filet was delicious.

Food was excellent, service was great, large group behind us, men kept burping, loud and obnoxious. Unfortunately couldn't wait to get out of there. other table ruined our evening.

Very trendy, very pricey place.

The scallops were excellent. The caprese salad was not what I expected in that it was tomato pieces mixed with mozzarella balls n pesto sauce ... good but disappointing as I expected the tower of sliced tomatoes n fresh mozzarella with pesto . We will definitely go back !!

If your tastebuds are hankering for a great piece of meat, particularly prime rib, then head for Crane's! Their non-carnivore dishes are terrific as well. Always reliable and always enjoyable, this is a mainstay on the Island for years. The comfortable ambiance is old-line steak house but without the outrageous steak house prices, including wine price points, a great value. Service is gracious and professional. Our server even included sides of awesome scalloped potatoes in our leftover box which had been switched with mashed potatoes in our original order. We highly recommend Crane's when choosing a dining experience on the Island.

Had a very good experience at Crane's. Service was great - had a lovely waitress who was attentive while giving us enough time to chat and ponder the menu. Very good wine list. We had a delicious Napa Cab Sav. Not cheap, but not horribly overpriced. Great ambiance and decor - felt like a blend of a traditional dark wood steakhouse with the relaxed Hilton Head vibe. Menu is quite extensive, but you have to go for the steaks! Our party had filets and rib eyes, and no one was disappointed. The "stuffed beet" starter was outstanding. Unlike traditional higher end steakhouses, a potato and veg are included with the steak, which saves a few dollars. Overall recommended and I will be returning.
