A true overlooked Hilton Head gem! It's a bit shocking and surprising how few locals even know of the pleasures of the Driftwood Eatery - great location on the water(by a marina) inside of HH Plantation, gorgeous views looking out over the water, covered outside deck and, most importantly, consistently excellent food. (though, the inside dining is, arguably, a bit underwhelming)Let's talk food though. The charcuterie board is top-shelf, filled with locally sourced meats(as is almost everything on the menu), sauces crafted the head chef(the honeycomb honey and peach jam...amazing!) and cheese helpings hearty - it's absolutely worth a special trip and it's substantial enough for two people to enjoy - and call the day on meal, if you're both only a wee bit hungry.The grouper sandwich is the most popular item, for obvious reasons once you try it(and I'm not much big fish fan, generally). Last thing to tout, the burgers....not yr standard fare, deeply tasty and memorable.We've gone here five times in the last last year and half when we visit from Colorado. Every visit to HH, it's a mandatory stop for us - and one we recommend heartily, confidently.

I had the chicken tacos and I thought it was the best meal we had on our trip. My son also enjoyed the fish. My wife and daughter didn't care for the chicken tenders. And my daughter had contempt for our server. Commented that he was a pirate without a parrot or vessel.

Very private country club setting in a gated community. Very kind and attentive staff. Crusted gouper over risotto was most excellent. Best grouper I ever ate.

Hands down the best place we ate all week! The manager and all staff encountered were very pleasant and attentive. And the food….I can’t say enough good things about it! The chef made a recommendation regarding my meal and he was right on point!! Everything we had was fantastic!! Driftwood Eatery will become a regular stop for us when we visit!

Best restaurant in Hilton Head, great scenery, fantastic service and most of all great food! We were a family of 7 and they treated us like family. The dishes our waiter suggested were amazing. You must seat outside if possible, the view is worth it!

When everyone is waiting in line to get into Hudson's or the Boathouse, right down the road on Hilton Head Plantation is a Total Find! Great food, great service, priced very fairly, and you can actually get a table without a 30 minute wait. e had 10 in our party and had no trouble getting served all together.

This is a hidden gem. I love it here. The staff and management are wonderful and were wonderful to work with. The chef is extremely knowledgeable about gluten/celiac and he is one of the few chefs who I’ve seen truly take pride in his work. It’s the only restaurant on the island where as an employee I was able to taste every item on the menu to help me with recommendations for customers and THAT is the kind of pride they take in their establishment. It’s great food. They source their meat from Brasstown Beef, but they don’t charge a crazy amount like other local restaurants where I see the same stamp. I follow their Instagram now to stay up to date on their specials and I’m always dying to go and try their latest weekly specials. Also their wine prices are truly unbelievable and their bottle prices are similar to the liquor store. Check them out!! Your taste buds will thank you later.
Very good cuisine and service for a small restaurant. We ate delighted with the 2022 better food quality and attentive staff. The restaurant has gotten considerably better since 2021. Manager was very professional as was our server Juan. Food and drinks were excellent. The stunning biewd of Skull Creek in the afternoon and sunset make the covered outdoor deck a must see place. I LOVE this place! It is a hidden gem on Hilton Head. The evening sunsets are priceless, and the atmosphere is so chilled and relaxed. The staff and manager are truly Southern Hospitality. Food is great, wine bar fantastic and view is spectacular. You must try it!

We really enjoyed our dinner at Driftwood Eatery. My wife and I took our elementary/preschool age kids on the last evening of our stay here in Hilton Head. The view of the river from the back deck was awesome, as was the food. We stayed for dessert. They took great care of us, and we would definitely recommend.

Played golf at the Country Club Of Hilton Head on a Monday so the club dining was not available. This place is right around the corner from the club. Great find,nice views, drinks and the grouper fish and chips was outstanding.
