The food was excellent, but we felt very rushed. We were from out of town and were disappointed by this experience
Slow service. Crab cakes came out cold. Food was good but not memorable. Painfully slow service.
Ela's provided excellent food and great service. Karen was our server and she was very knowledgeable, very patient, and made a few suggestions that turned out to be fantastic. I love going to restaurants where the servers know the wines and the food and are able to make suggestions to the patrons. Excellent service, excellent food, and beautiful ambience. We highly recommend Ela's.
Needed accommodations for a guest with cane and difficulty with stairs, despite advanced request to sit outside (less stairs) and on time for rather early dinner reservation 6:00 (on time) for a celebration (noted in comments section) was told nothing outside would be available (despite plenty of seating) we were directed instead to the top deck (not outside) with 12 steep stairs to climb. Accommodated back outside only when I advocated for the disabled guest. It was maddening disappointed my guests who were here to celebrate.
The food was very good. Service was a bit slow. Noisy inside but back patio atmosphere was very nice.
Oysters were awful with too much spinach. . Cheese not melted enough. Oysters tasted bad. Fish of the day was supposed to be blackened but was tasteless. Mashed potatoes seemed like out of a box. Go only for the view, not the food
We were celebrating my wife's birthday and Ela's was a great place to go to do that! We sat outside and had a spectacular view of the Shelter Cove marina and surrounding area. The food was very good from the main course to the dessert. Our server was very attentive and personable and acknowledged my wife's birthday several times. He was very fun! It was very quiet out on the deck and we had great weather since we went on September 28th (out of season and not as hot). Great time!
Made reservations, still waited for 20 minutes, service was sub par and food was edible. I won't ever go back for dinner again. Lunch might be ok but dinner is overpriced for the service you get.

We stopped for brunch on a Thursday. They were not busy and we were seated immediately. We chose the outdoor seating and the views of the harbor are wonderful. Our server was attentive and friendly. I ordered the oyster eggs Benedict. It came with potatoes and fruit. My wife had the fish and chips. My wife said the fish and chips were very good. My Benedict was also good, although the eggs were overpoached. I like the yolks runny, mine were hard. Still it was tasty. The weather was nice and we just enjoyed the moment for a while. All in all, a relaxing meal.

I made a reservation at Ela’s for 7:30pm and specifically noted that I would prefer outdoor seating and that I would have a stroller with me. When we arrived, we were told outdoor seating wasn’t available and that strollers aren’t accommodated. My baby is an infant—if this was going to be an issue, they could have easily called ahead of time to let us know.
On top of that, the restaurant only has stairs. What would someone in a wheelchair do? When my husband asked if we really couldn’t bring the stroller in, the hostess just stared at him blankly. No apology, no attempt to make things right. We decided to leave and eat elsewhere, and even then, she didn’t say a word.
Extremely disappointing and unwelcoming experience.

We enjoy our first time at ELA'S. Karen our server was very attentive. Our food was very good. Will come back next time in Hilton Head.
We were not seated in an area requested well in advance and the manager did not seem to care My grouper dish at $44 was cold and dry. My husband loved the special. Our server was great!
We made reservations to sit outside. The weather was breezy and 75. Mimosa and Bloody Mary's were tasty. The French Toast and Eggs Benedict were exactly what you would hope for. Great space for dining and excellent service!
