ELA'S On the Water

Service was poor. Food was very good. Seemed like there was a communication disconnect between servers and hostess. There are so many excellent restaurants on island that I don't think I will rush back here.

If you want waterview insist on outside seating. Food was pretty good. Service friendly but strange with apparent confusion over which of two servers had our table. Hostesses were not as welcoming as we would expect.

A series of minor frustrations. Bartender didn't make the correct drink (still unclear what we were served). Dressing for the salad wasn't on the side as requested. A rather dull prep of scallops and risotto that neither of us finished. The indoor space is small and somewhat loud but with a really nice view. Servers were kind. Steak was good. It wasn't a terrible experience, but for the money, the experience and attention to detail should have been significantly better.

Wonderful food! Our waitress was fantastic. Sitting outside watching the fireworks and the boats was fun, even with the rain, we did not get wet. Overall great experience and would highly recommend.

Great food and great service! We sat outside and had a great view of the water marina area too.

Kinda disappointed. Food was not good. Service was meh. I ordered seared tuna and there was some weird sauce with it. They accommodated soy and wasabi but seems like they were trying to force something there. The kale was sweet- kinda gross- just leave it alone!!! I couldn't get as far as dessert.

Excellent food, lobster nachos and lobster ravioli were delicious. Steamed lobster was tough or over cooked. Good cocktails. We sat inside with a beautiful view of the water, nice music in the background. Seating area were arranged into smaller area which made for less noise. Overall a wonderful experience, we'll be back!!

The food and setting was outstanding as always. The service was ok, but not great. Our server wasn't very engaging and didn't do a great job presenting the specials. Also, the man performing live music was a distraction. His guitar playing was pleasant but the music was too loud on the patio and he was singing off key for most of the time. Hard to enjoy a romantic sunset dinner with that experience, unfortunately.

Not great...positives: our waitress was very nice. The location was beautiful. Negatives: very slow service. We found ourselves running out of beverages and looking for our waitress. The food was very mid. Everything was bland and not a good value for the price. The restaurant was inexcusably hot. It was nearly 90 degrees inside, which was the same temp outside. We were sweating and uncomfortable. I don't see use returning.

We've had the same waiter for the past three years, he is super friendly. Food is always exceptional. We had the lobster risotto, golden tail fish special, shrimp scampi bucatini, lobster ravioli, and mushroom risotto. Also the cheesecake is homemade 😋

Everything was wonderful except the air conditioning. When you are having an excellent meal it is really hard to enjoy when you are dripping with sweat. Honestly, it was cooler outside in the 90 heat. Don't know if it was truly broken as the shop downstairs said or just not working well. Either way fans or some other cooling mechanism would have helpful. Other than that the food was delicious.

It was very warm so dining was very uncomfortable. Some of the portions seemed very small.

We chose this restaurant because we could get a reservation inside but we were seated in a very sunny section on the highest level of the restaurant. There was barely and air conditioning where we werw seated plus with the sun, it was very just no escape from the heat. We sweat throughout our meal which was not enjoyable at all. We were so hot we couldn't finish our food and opted to skip dessert which we had planned on because it was a milestone birthday outing. Pretty disappointing. The food quality was very good though. And, so was the service.

Food was maybe a little above average but the experience was terrible. The air condition was not working properly inside. In addition , our reservation was at 5 PM and we arrived at 10 minutes till. The door was still locked and they would not let us inside at all until 5 PM on the dot and it was 98 degrees outside

It was our first time there and it was wonderful. We were celebrating our anniversary. They brought us some champagne which was a surprise. The meal was wonderful. My husband had the grouper and I had the scallops. Both were excellent. We finished it off with some delicious hummingbird cake. Our waiter was fabulous and the view gorgeous.
