Service was fine, atmosphere was nice, food was awful. thick slices of brisket that were mostly all fat, pulled pork was cold and dry and my daughter asked, “why are my chicken fingers wet?” Cheep plastic forks broke when trying to to cut food - it was not a good dinning experience.
The staff was nice and service was good, but sadly, we were really disappointed in all the food we ordered.

It was so delightful to see Angie Aparo on NYE at the first of a series of local musician/dinner events! Seeing Angie is always a treat, and the environment and food was great.

WHAT HAPPENED?
I first visited 2 years ago and it was amazing. The Mac and cheese was good with crushed pork rinds on top. The potato salad had a really delicious smoky flavor and I got the half chicken that was great! You'd walk up to the line and watch them cut ypur meat in front of you.
Now I just visited expecting the same delicious food and the chicken was a quarter, the mac and cheese was a cheaper seeming version with no crushed rinds on top and the potato salad was store bought generic. That whole side that you could walk down the line and watch then cut your meat was torn down and empty.
I still have pictures of my food from then and the walking line, the difference is staggering from then to today.
Im just disappointed in my experience this year and miss the food and atmosphere that it was 2 years ago.

Place your order at the counter, but took quite a while, they were busy taking online orders. Finally got our food, had to get our drinks & sauce & etc, ourselves. Outside seating was next to their sister restaurant, Fish& we had to move , because the tables overlapped. Not very helpful to let us know , where to sit. Food was good , ribs & brisket.

Mike, the brisket, burnt end baked beans, and mac/cheese was delicious. My journal entry is Slow Country BBQ is delicious. Highly recommend. Very reasonable price.

BBQ sandwich was smothered in sauce (that’s a no no) and had to eat it with a fork. Tasted sauce over anything else. Wife had brisket sandwich which was good. Waitress was friendly and helpful.

Tree bark is more tender than the ribs here. Took one bite and that was it. Wasted a whole rack unfortunately Mac and cheese was basically velveeta. Fries were mid. The pork sandwich sucked. Hate to be so blunt but I paid $55 for no reason

Pulled pork was dry and the Mac and cheese tasted like they put velveeta cheese on macaroni. The star of the meal was the French fries which is no bueno. As someone who lives on the Georgia/South Carolina border and usually crosses into South Carolina to get BBQ, I can tell you this does not come even close to South Carolina BBQ. I would take your business somewhere else.

My family went here for lunch while on vacation in Hilton Head. You order your food at the counter, get a table number, and it gets delivered to you. If you order a sandwich, sides are for an additional cost and come in regular and large size. Platters come with two sides. Sides include mac 'n cheese, fries, coleslaw, beans, and potato salad. My husband and I both got the pulled pork platter. The pork was a little dry, but with the addition of BBQ sauce it tasted great. My daughters got the pickle-brined fried chicken sandwich. I had a bite and it was to die for! The fries they have are the thinnest shoestring fries I've ever seen but they are quite yummy.

We walked in and the entire place was empty, we were about to leave and a worker came in from outside. We have never been here before and it felt overwhelming as they assumed we knew to order from the counter.

The food was delicious, the people are friendly, and the price was reasonable! The smoked brisket crust was amazing! We got a family meal of brisket and pulled pork with 3 large sides for 60. Single meals were 12-18. The fries are skinny like fair fries and good. Beans and all the meat were great. Our family of 20 ordered quickly and the first groups got our food quickly. You order and pay at the counter and get your own drinks.

Smelt great from the outside. Had to order food from the bar then take a seat after. Cutlery is plastic which we had to search for. The food was not good. Cold. Dry.Possible from the night before. Frozen food is being used. I had to force myself to try and eat it so we didn’t waste $50 bucks. Our beer was the only good thing. We didn’t know what to do with the plate/ trash. This place has potential if it had a a strong team.

Food was decent but they messed up our order. We called in and instead of apologizing they argued with us. When we drove 30 minutes to pick up the food they forgot, they argued again in person and still forgot multiple items.
