A wonderful little place to get a bite to eat and a cup of coffee in the mornings! Staff was friendly each morning and all of the pastries or breakfast sandwiches we had were absolutely delicious.

Amazing Local Coffee and Pastry Spot. We had a short trip to HHI for spring break. Rather than doing my daily Starbucks run, I decided to try somewhere local and Sweet Al’s did not disappoint. It is a small little shop in Cologny Plaza. Mocha was delicious, but the homemade pastries all looked amazing. The cinnamon roll was the best I’ve had, and the rest of the family enjoyed the donuts and danishes. The staff was friendly and helpful with recommendations. It will be my go to daily breakfast stop when we come back!

Not super big inside the shop but who cares? Donuts are great. The cinnamon roll was maybe the best I’ve ever had, which is saying something. Hit it in the microwave for 12-15 seconds and it’ll rewire your brain. You’ll be booking your next trip to Hilton Head before you finish it. Resist getting angry at your mama or grandma - they did the best they could.

It was ok but I think their donuts was overpriced. We ordered 6 donuts, 2 lattes and cheese cake for $44. It was a nice little shop but I guess it due to its lova

Been coming to HHI long enough to remember (and miss) Java Joe's at the Coligny circle. Luckily, Sweet Al left the cold weather of New Jersey to set up shop on HHI within walking distance of my rental and the circle. I'm not a coffee drinker, so if you can make me a tea latte or hot chai worthy of the name, I'll be your friend for life. Today was my first visit and the chai latte was hot and delicious, a bit clove/cardamom-forward, and it was not sickeningly sweet--I was also able to have it made with oat milk (they also offer almond & soy) which means I can take one less Lactaid today! The pastry case was filled with donuts, scones, muffins, cakes, quiche, etc. I settled on a sour cream donut and it was delicious and enough to hit the spot. My friend had a cafe latte and reported it was one of the few made correctly; she'd overheard Al discussing upgrading his coffee machines with one of those Nespresso-type button ones--DO NOT DO THIS! Those machines cannot make a proper cup of coffee! Hail to the skill of the barista, Al! The outdoor seating area was lovely and lends itself to talking to other vacationers who stop by for a quick breakfast; we chatted up a Michigan dad and his adorable son--Big Al's has a friendly vibe and check it out vs. hitting the franchise coffee shops or higher-priced patisseries.

"Small, but mighty" should be the motto of this place. I was simply looking for a HH spot to get locally roasted coffee. Instead I found a vault of coffee/espresso based drinks and pastries (included house made doughnuts!). This tiny building (possibly a portable shed?) holds aromas of fresh baked goodness and lattes and Americano's within its four walls. You need a sweet or savory snack? They got you. You need breakfast or lunch? They got you. You need to wake up, wind down, or are unsure what you really want? Yep, they got you. Such a friendly team here. And the coffee they serve, they have in bags as well. I bought two. Honesty I am intentional about visiting new spots each time I am in Hilton Head, but this is one spot I will be visiting every time I'm there. I hope you do the same.

Great coffee. I had a croissant with egg and sausage, the croissant was fresh. I also bought a jelly donut for my mom which she said was delicious. They have a lot of other freshly made donuts and treats that all look delicious as well! You will not be disappointed!

I'm Looking for a good donut, and I'm still looking. There donuts look like they were taken out of a Hostess Box, from the grocery store. I chose a slice of banana bread, or so they say. Half of the slice was dry, half was moist, very faint taste, of bananas. My wife's Raspberry scone, she said was good. They did Not have decaf coffee ready to serve. And if You do not clean the chairs and tables, why Do you have them!

Apple cinnamon scone soft, slightly sweet and thoroughly enjoyable. Coffee, med roast, "bonfire" nicely flavorful. My sister's med roast "flannel" very nice, too.Little counter place; cute setup. Would get coffee & scones here again.
