the good : smash burger was great the not so good: natchoes were soggy after first layer. service was super slow and server inefficient. the tab was incorrect and during the correction another table's tab was charged to my cc. it was corrected.
Food was great. Atmosphere was “sports bar” but first NFL game of the season and only had the game on a couple tv’s. Also refused to put the sound or captions on! NOT a true Sports Bar!!
Tonight a group of twenty five of us were at Hilton Head Tavern. We had arranged ahead for a big group so they were ready for us we sat at three booths and a table. Food was good, service excellent and we enjoyed the music bingo! Linda M
Waited 1 1/2 hours for our food, wanted to speak to the manager, they never came out. We finally gave up and 1/2 the group left then they came out with 3 plates that looked like they'd been sitting for at least 1/2 hour. We told them we were leaving and just wanted to settle the tab for the drinks. So the waitress took the plates back to the kitchen and the manager made her bring them back out, we refused to take or pay for the meals, the manager never came out of the kitchen to speak to us. The absolute worst restaurant experience I've ever had.
Adam was AWESOME! He ran the place tonight!

Horrible experience, strange staff interactions and 45 minutes after ordering never got our food
Tom was great.. super busy and still made time to take our order. Joanne however clearly ignored us for at least 10 minutes and it was more important to put glasses away then to take care of customers or even greet them.

We went in hungry. We were seated quickly. We tried to order pretzel bites but our server told us they were out and suggested we order the mozzarella sticks instead. We ordered those and a burger and wings. 45 min after ordering the waiter apologized and told us they were actually out of mozzarella sticks but our food was almost ready. More than an hour after we ordered the wings came out. Burger was coming shortly, except then he told us someone else took the burger and they would have to remake it. We said no thank you we will just take a to go box for the wings and our check. The check came and it still had the mozzarella sticks on it. We left cash for the wings and went to the grocery store to get some food for dinner.
I hope this was an unusual experience, but we will not be back to find out.
i came here visiting from out of state! Adam was an excellent bartender! He was so attentive and had a cool personality. Definitely will be visiting again. I Had the tenders and my partner had a salad it was delicious.

Nice place to grab a burger and a beer. Lots of TVs good bar food. The service was lacking considering it was a Wednesday and not that busy. Good burgers. Good wings. Cold beer.

Garbage on the floor. Bathroom was in need of being cleaned and towels replaced. Service was slow. Our table was like it was just stuck in as a backup. It was wobbly and had no room in between the table next to us. Old Hickory was much better!
Arrived about 90 mins before closing. Cat, our server was nice but not over attentive (even thought it was not at all busy) Our drinks were fine but we were disappointed with the food. Hubby’s shrimp & chicken were ok but my sister’s “slow cooked salmon” was undercooked & had to be sent back to be heated through some more. I’m fairly convinced that the “shaved turkey” on my club sandwich was actually chunks of ham, there was no bacon & my side of onion rings was fairly cold. By the time we were eating it less than an hour till closing so we decided not to make a fuss. (Also, we’re British) The food wasn’t horrible & we did eat most of it. Didn’t expect a 3% fee for paying by credit card either (that may be on the menu & we didn’t notice it) This was not our first visit to the Hilton Head Tavern but it will probably be our last.
I've had better food from a gas station. Service was subpar. Will not recommend to anyone and definitely will not be back

Great place to watch the football game on Sunday. We are from out of town but have been to other places to watch games. This is BY FAR the best place we’ve visited.
Food was fantastic. Clam chowder is to die for. Wings were very good. Chili was yummy and the chicken & rice was huge! Everything was hot and delivered quickly and accurately. Our waiter, Adam took great care of us and we never felt rushed to get out of there. In fact, we stayed for the whole game and wound up ordering dessert. The churro cake was delicious!
