Nice atmosphere, food was pretty good. Service was good but there was limited seating when we got there, so beware of the horigotatsu seating (floor sunken below the table). My wife fell over trying to sit down, but all is well. Just watch your steps.

I got the luncheon Bento Box. Best bento box I’ve ever had! Everything was delicious including the sushi, teriyaki chicken and fish, miso soup and ginger salad! A ton of food and prices start at $15 ($18 for the HH Roll). Highly recommend this place.

This was great, starting with the salad and the house dressing all the way through the chicken and shrimp. The pork pot stickers were outstanding also. They have an early bird special (teriyaki shrimp and chicken) that is big enough for two people, or one really hungry person. I will definitely be back.

Great spot, with probably some of the freshest tasting sushi I’ve had in quite some time. Service was very and decent. The dinosaur egg is amazing, gotta try it. I’d definitely go back.

Sat at the sushi bar to watch the sushi being made and speak with the sushi chefs was such a treat. Sushi was so fresh. Would return again. Highly recommend. It is a more traditional Japanese atmosphere and they have several seating options if you make reservations.Parking: Lots of spaces if you get there early enough. Shared with a few other restaurants.

This place is an easy 5 stars. While being a new comer in a very intimidating town, Hinoki made me feel very welcome. After my first night, I was on a first name basis with the bartender. The atmosphere and ambiance is exquisite. I have always ignored my dietary challenges because I fear it stopped me from eating the best foods. The chef overheard that I had a gluten intolerance and sent me something gluten free on the house and it did not disappoint. *make sure you express your dietary challenges because you might miss out on amazing food you didn't even know existed! If you ever get the pleasure to meet George, you are lucky indeed! Everything on the menu is absolutely delicious. What made matters even better is knowing that the chef's son also does a magnificent job with the food. Although they are actually family, they make YOU feel like family. They give the best drink and food recommendations and even down to the fellow customers... they've advised me to get some of the best food! (Which I continued to get each time I went) adding something new each time. You will leave with a full tummy and smile on your face if you visit Hinoki, this I guarantee.They only let me give 5 stars, but I would have given more if I could.After moving away from Hilton Head, Hinoki is one of the things I miss most! I haven't dared step foot in another place that serves sushi since, because I don't think they could ever do Hinoki justice. I wish I could provide you with a picture to express what I feel, but that food was far too good and long gone before I could ever take a picture. You'd be crazy if you didn't dine here!

Our dinner group had a great meals. The menu has a wide offering of choices. All entrees are large portions of food enough to take home for lunch the next day.Our server Elvira was excellent taking great care of us. Shrimp, tempura & fried rice are all very good. Start with the best spring rolls on the Island.The only problem was the room looking out the window into the yard: very very noisy as all tables in use. Barely could hear each other at our table. The noise cost them a star--nevertheless we will go back.
