Food honestly is quite good. We have eaten here for years. The owner is objectively a jerk. And now we can confirm he is unfair as well.
We had two gift certificates. One was for 25 dollars and the other was for 150. Our bill was 147. We requested that they use the 25 dollar gift certificate first (since the expiration date was sooner) and use the 150 dollar certificate for the remainder. We left a cash tip of 21%. The owner said that multiple gift certificates cannot be used at once. Nowhere on the gift certificates does it say this.
We requested to have the bill split so that we could use both gift certificates. He refused. We will not return, this guy is impressively rude.

Horrible service, didn’t even get to sit down and eat. It was my mothers birthday and it was a table of 14 people, they had us sitting in 2 separate tables, and we asked to put the tables together and the owner started to give an attitude to my dad, and the server started to argue with my dad too saying that we can put the tables together, but after we’re done eating we have to put the tables back….??? What kind of service is this? We have to put them together and then put them back? You have to be joking. We went to Frankie bones instead, better food, better service. Don’t come here to eat guys.

Very unimpressed. It smelled like a used bathroom when you walked in, they had box fans tied to the walls and very dark. Food was not good at all, shaker of kraft Parmesan cheese on the table... For a $150 bill we left very very disappointed and will not return. We love to support local and this was not good.

“The service was very bad, not because of the waitstaff, but because of the owner, who doesn’t provide the attention customers deserve. We were a group of 8, the place was almost empty, and he refused to seat us together at a table for 8 that was available, so we had to leave.”

Worst service ever!

This place sucks. The owner pays his employees poorly or does not pay at all, they overload you with work and then take advantage of that. As a restaurant, it also leaves a lot to be desired... Not recommended at all ??

Very good Italian with very reasonable prices. The thin crust pizza is thin! Need to try it.

We celebrated a birthday with a large group, and everyone loved their meal. There were many options on the menu - something to please everyone. The service was very good, especially for a large group. They were very accommodating of us. Il Carpaccio is a gem!

Six years ago I wrote this review: Great food, great bread and it’s authentic! The sauces are made in house.

Unfortunately, after coming to HHI every year after I wrote that review, the service has declined tremendously. The food is delicious, hands down. But with their inconsistent times (because they close when they “FEEL” like it), being turned away while in the restaurant (when clearly the closing time was nowhere near the times we have gone), and the employee attitudes (dirty looks, condescending comments and tone) that were given is enough for me to not give my money to Il Carpaccio anymore. The treatment includes the manager as well. With that being said, I will be spending my money elsewhere.

If you like TERRIBLE customer service, this place is for YOU.

As someone who has frequented Hilton Head annually for over a decade, Il Carpaccio has been our favorite Italian food! Notice that I said food, because if you expect to go there and experience any degree of actual customer service, you will be sorely disappointed. They are not kind. They are not friendly. They speak to you as if you are an inconvenience. They also decide that they will close as early or as late as they feel like that day, no matter what their website information displays. We have continued to visit during our trips because the food is good, but due to the latest phone conversation with the restaurant, (the “manager” answering the call -8/31/24), the lack of professionalism and disregard for providing quality customer service, we’ve decided our family can no longer continue to support a business who operates in this manner. Good luck Il Carpaccio. Try to be nicer. Maybe then you will be busy enough to actually stay open for your entire advertised business operating hours.

This is one of our must go restaurants every single year we are in Hilton Head. The food never disappoints and the service is phenomenal. We typically go 2-3 times during the week we are there. We always get at least 1-2 spaghetti Al ragu dishes to share throughout the table. It is that good!!! Also, the pizza is amazing! It is a thin crust pizza and they always get a perfect amount of sauce to topping ratio. With how thin the pizza is, I am not sure how well it would travel for take out or delivery. But ordered in the restaurant, it is great. My family typically also gets 2 different pizzas as an appetizer to share. Our favorite is the pepperoni and we have had the mushroom also. Also, this place was kid friendly and was kind and attentive to our children. Overall, a hidden gem in Hilton Head island.

One of the best Italian restaurants in the area. Appetizers are nice-sized servings, entrees are well prepared, sauces well composed. Nice dessert menu. Best of all, it is very reasonably priced. Wait staff very good.

Parking: No problem. Right outside the door.
