If I could give the food a zero, I would. I ordered a Caesar salad with chicken. The lettuce was wilted and the chicken had no taste. My wife had the salmon and she also said it was terrible. Did not know there was a cover charge but our group did have a lot of fun. That is why I gave it three stars. For the money, go somewhere, anywhere else, for dinner and then go there for an after dinner drink and music.

The ambiance was really nice. There is both indoor and outdoor seating and the music created opportunity to dance and have fun. We paid for it as every person in the party had to pay $10.99 to listen. No one expected that.

The service by our host, Hannah, was excellent! Hannah was friendly and attentive. My party shared mixed feelings about the food. The lemon pepper wings were tasteless - not your traditional lemon pepper rub. The collard greens unfortunately, tasted more like vinegar.
The jambalaya was very good - seasoned very well. The chicken & waffles were really good, too! Lots of food and very flavorful.

I’ll always try a restaurant twice. Looking forward to my next visit

We visited Kind of Blue in Hilton Head on a Thursday night. About 45 minutes before our party of 14 reservation was to arrive, we received a call letting us know there would be a $10.88 cover charge per person — something I would have appreciated being informed about in advance, we booked with open table so perhaps that was why.

The atmosphere was exactly what you’d hope for in a live music club-meets-dining experience: intimate lighting, lively but not overwhelming, and an energy that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a timeless music lounge. The live music was fantastic — talented musicians and a perfect soundtrack to the evening. The food was also very good, well-prepared, and flavorful.

The only drawback was the service. There were just two waitresses handling the entire floor and the bar, which made getting water and drink refills a bit of a challenge. It didn’t ruin the night, but it did slow things down more than expected.

The restaurant was clean and our table was ready when we arrived. I would suggest wearing light breathable clothing on a hot day the restaurant warmed up as people were dancing. The musicians engaged the audience and created such a fun time for my mother’s 61st birthday.

Overall, if you love great live music, good food, good cocktails and a unique, artsy atmosphere, Kind of Blue is absolutely worth a visit. Just be prepared for a slightly slower pace in the service — and enjoy the music while you wait.

Made a reservation for 6:30 pm. At arrival, told our table was double booked, so we would have to move to the bar area for the show. We did not eat or stay, felt this was very unprofessional.

The hospitality and entertainment were a 10! The food was decent, but it was extremely warm inside. A cooler, more comfortable atmosphere would’ve made the experience even better. Overall a good experience. I’d definitely visit again.

Very nice environment. Everyone was so nice. We stopped in to celebrate my wife and sister in law's birthday. The place was booked solid and we had no reservation. The manager sat us at the bar and treated us very well. Both the Band and customers sang happy birthday at separate times of the evening. Definitely going back when we visit Hilton Head.

I first visited this establishment while in the area recently. One thing about Hilton Head is that unless you are familiar with the area, it feels like a maze! Even my GPS was confused 😄
The establishment itself is fairly nice, but not very roomy/spacious. Some items online were no longer available upon arrival. It did take a little time to get the food/dessert, refills & attentiveness.
The evening entertainment was lively and soulful.

The perfect spot in Hilton Head to hear outstanding live music and enjoy excellent, reasonably priced food, in a comfortable setting. Whether you want a full dinner, only appetizers, or sit at the bar for a drink to enjoy the music, it's a great place. KOB is perfect for singles, couples, or even families.
Domino Theory, a local jazz/blues fusion band plays every Monday night from 7-9:30 and is a favorite band of ours. They are really worth checking out. If you are lucky, the owner , Sterlin Colvin, and his wife, Shuvette, will perform as well. Sterling makes the piano keys dazzle, while his wife mesmerizes with her melodic voice singing songs like Walking in Memphis, Summertime, and Knock, Knock, Knock'n on Heaven's Door. If you have been to the Jazz Corner, check out this hidden gem. It gives the Jazz Corner some good competition. So lucky to have these venues in Hilton Head!

Stayed at the Hilton Head Motorcoach. This was walking distance from the Resort. What a GEM!!! Great food and unbelievable Jazz talent. The owner and his small staff work so hard to bring a fantastic experience. Do not miss this place when visiting Hilton Head. I have nothing to gain from this accept to compliment a great night out. I tell everyone and hope to return one day!
