We called in advance and were told they'd have their usual Sunday brunch menu on Easter. Upon arrival it was their early bird dinner menu. Disappointing, as we had different expectations but had a nice meal adjacent to the golf course with beautiful scenic views.

A varied menu and happy hour keeps this in our dinner rotation. Our meals were very good as was the service.

We have always enjoyed eating at Lagerhead, especially out on the patio. Today was no exception, a beautiful day and wonderful view of the golf course! The service was awesome, food was very, very good, and I should have nothing to complain about. But, timing is everything and unfortunately right after we got our food, a fairly large number of golfers sat at a few tables out on the patio and the noise level rose drastically. So, the ambience suffered and we didn't get to enjoy our meal as much as we would have liked. Again, timing is everything and our timing on this particular day was not so good.

We had lunch and ate a bacon black and blue burger and a flatbread feature...both were cooked well and tasty. I took a chicken piccata home to my wife for dinner...that too was delicious. This is how I find Lagerhead to be most of the time.

Was initially quiet when we arrived after our golf game. Louder as more folks came in. Excellent service and lots of menu selection with good food quality and portions. Nice place with casual but beautifully decorated decor. Will do again.

We had the Caprese hamburger. I asked for it medium rare, and it was perfect. My date asked for medium well and then again it was perfect. We took the onion rings off of the hamburger and ate them separately, they were absolutely delicious. The room was filled with large groups of people and it was a bit noisy, so we sat over near the bar at a high top just to get away from the regular room. We probably should've sat outside, but we were concerned it was going to get much cooler. Overall, we love the place.

Always very good food. Service up and down. We had asked three times to pour extra lemon wedges. Ambience pleasant and noise level moderate unless it gets totally packed. Overall we really enjoy coming to this place.

We have had better in prior dining at Lagerhead. We arrived in time for the early dining which was nice. Normally service has been good but to no fault of our server it appeared the tavern was very short staffed. We waited to get our drinks, we waited to order our food, we waited to get our food from the kitchen, and we waited to pay the bill. Additionally, my wifes meal was to have a read sauce but came out with a white sauce(not good), and my normally fish and chips is difficult to screw up. But the fish was not crisp and very greasy. The chips appeared to have been double cooked as they were hard. I know it is a golf tavern and should expect a little noisy but very loud last night. Again, they appeared to be understaffed. Not the end but very disappointed as we had a couple of guest with high expectatuibs,

Always a go to on our visit to the island. A locals place with quality food, always consistent and sweetest servers. A real gem for those wishing to check out Hilton head plantation.

We ordered a starter but then our main course arrived, so starter had to be abandoned. Food was OK but the flounder was not particularly warm and the haricot beans were cool. Nice restaurant, warm but the TVs were on the blink. Good beer menu.

We visited on 2/03/24 without a reservation and were pleased to be seated promptly. We both had the mahi mahi. It was good, but not memorable and we were surprised that for the price of the entrees, they did not come with a vegetable or salad. That was another $5.50 each. What made our visit memorable was the great service we received from Cameron, our waiter. He was very busy, but did a great job and made us feel very welcome.

My wife got a steak salad and I ordered a hamburger. My wife requested that the salad come with ranch dressing instead of blue cheese. She got ranch on the side but the salad was loaded with blue cheese crumbles and the steak was very tough. I had ordered my hamburger medium rare....it was medium/medium well. Our waitress did a good job taking care of us but it was obvious she was very busy, making our drinks as well as waiting a number of tables. Not a terrible experience but we won't come back.

Good cod special with collard greens. Only two servers on a Friday night. They were good but overwhelmed. Slow meal overall.

We ate there during restaurant week. The value was great. The choices we had for the set menu were just right. The serving sizes were reasonable. The beet salad had minimal dressing and the beets were tiny chunks likely from a jar or can. Fish was superb served with collards. No bread.
