I don’t often leave reviews, but this place was excellent! I am Gluten Free, and the lady running the store was very knowledgeable about which products I could and could not eat. Also, she was super kind, talkative, and relatable. She said that the Gelato was based on her Sicilian families recipes, and being in Sicily this summer, it definitely took me back! I highly recommend Nonna Marie’s and we will be going back whenever we come back to Hilton Head next!Dietary restrictions: Tons of Gluten Free options!

4.5 ⭐️ Delicious gelato also had tasty lemon as well as ricotta cookies. I opted for the espresso and butter pecan in a bowl. Can’t recall exactly what husband got but he also enjoyed. Service was a bit slow, they need more people helping IMO as the line kept growing. Also it is a smallish space and if it’s regularly this busy it would seem they need a new larger space. I’d return and recommend to others as well.

Out group got different flavors of the galato. It was creamy and delicious. The people working were very sweet. It was very busy for it being 8:30 on a Saturday and we didn't have to wait too long. I recommend coming here if you are in Hilton Head!

JUST GO HERE!! This is real gelato. In fact everything including the baked goods here is real, made in house, and from authentic Italian family recipes. We discovered if you haven't gone here (or to Italy), you probably haven't had real gelato. There's a huge difference between this and the Americanized knock-offs. Nonna herself was very kind to our whole family and was a pleasure to meet!
Cutest place we have been all trip. My friends and I all came down for an early thanksgiving and this was the highlight of our dessert experiences. The gelato was amazing, I got 2 scoops of dark chocolate on a red velvet cone and it was the richest chocolate gelato I’ve ever had. We met the owner, Nona, and she was so knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely stop by here before you leave the island.

Always a must stop when visiting HHI! The shop is aesthetically pleasing with cute art and a welcoming vibe.The gelato is so yummy- I had a new flavor tonight, Hazelnut Chocolate. Not sure I could ever go back to just basic chocolate, it was that good! My husband loved his as well, Reese’s PB. I love how their gelato is homemade, it really makes a difference and you can tell! Can’t wait for the next time, and to see what cool flavors they have!
