Service was slow and had to constantly look for a server to order obtain refills etc. Sea bass tasted like it was drowned in butter and over noodles with too much sauce. Very disappointing

Red Fish is a wonderful Hilton Head tradition. Great and creative menu, with warm and friendly service. We love the wine store in the restaurant and the art around the dining room. We love this spot and eat their often. Good, people, good food and a great experience!

Our server, Meredith, was very personable and fun to meet. The restaurant was clearly understaffed and she was working very hard. We have been to Redfish several times and have always enjoyed the food. We also like the ability to select our own bottles of wine.

We had reserved a outside table. When we got to restaurant the temperature had dropped. No problem, they turned on a gas heater and we were comfortable. They came over more then once to make sure we were happy.... Shout out to our server...she was great!! Red Fish is one of our favorite restaurants on the island and look forward to our next visit.

Four discerning (code word for difficult to please) guests: four happy diners! We ordered a variety of meals (vegetarian strudel, flounder, lobster/shrimp burger and beef burger). Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their choice! Our server was attentive without hovering. Nice ambiance. Live music in an adjoining space was very pleasant. We highly recommend Red Fish!

Everything at Red Fish was outstanding. The homemade blue crab dip/fresh bread & tortillas were delicious. The sea bass was one of the most flavorful I've ever had. The scallops and lobster Mac&Cheese were cooked to perfection. Excellent French Pino blanc wine!
Our reservation of 3 was seated right outside the kitchen. The room then filled with about 35 people all in the same party. They took over the room standing all around laughing, talking loud. It was a private party (even though the server said “no it isn't a private party as they didn't pay for a private party room” SERIOUSLY!) Poor management and hostess to sit us in the room with them. We ask to be moved and was moved to the main dining room where about 4-5 tables were taken. Why we were not seated in the main dining room to begin with is beyond me. The food was good not great, but the evening was ruined. We had just arrived on the island and was looking forward to a nice dinner that didn't happen. Will not return anytime soon!

Excellent dinner. Service was a little slow at first (getting drinks and appetizers in), but fine the rest of the evening. Meals were excellent -all had seafood dishes, and they were served hot - important for seafood. We'll be back again.

A wonderful ambience - we both had one of the seafood specials on the menu which were both excellent- service was prompt and the ambience was really great. We enjoyed live music : piano player: and a breeze coming in from the open door. The black bean soup appetizer was one of the best we've had!

Red Fish is an excellent restaurant. The service was excellent. The food was delicious. We had fried oysters as an appetizer and wedge salad we split and both of us also order vegetable strudel All was delicious and a lot of food. Wine was priced reasonably . Overall 5stars
We come to Hilton Head several times a year and this is always one of our favorite spots. We never miss an opportunity to have an excellent meal with good wine and professional service at redfish. One of the extra perks is the lovely outside seating area. It is perfect for any time of year with shade in the summer and portable heaters available in the winter months. This is probably one of the best restaurants on the island.
Great restaurant. It's on the nicer side so I would plan to be slightly more dressed up than your normal beach casual restaurant. Overall the food tastes amazing and the service is very good.
Started with the calamari. Very large portion and very tasty. The wedge salad was good. Sea bass was tasty. Ended with the carrot cake thinking that I would not be able to eat it all but it was so good I could not stop. Service was very good. Nice selection of wine. I particularly enjoyed the live music. Cranford Hollow made the evening perfect- love his music.

Filet steaks did not appear to be filets. They were grainy and fibrous. They were not cooked to requested temp. Both were overdone - one order was for Medium and was well-done. The second order was for medium-rare and was medium to well-done. The side of broccoli was seasoned well and best part of the meal. The potatoes were room temperature and dry. We have been going to Red Fish for 20 years and have always enjoyed the evenings. The service was very good. We have recommended Red Fish to friends visiting Hilton Head. This has changed this recommendation.

Great dinner at Red Fish. We are from the Restaurant Week menu and I actually diverted from my usual sea bass. I had the salmon and my partner had the flounder. Both were excellent. The crab and corn chowder was amazing. The piano music was a fabulous addition and the service provided by Lacey was great (but it always is!).
