Been coming here for years. Sage Room NEVER EVER disappoints. So happy our favorites, Snow Pea Martini & Sage Room Benedict, are still on the menu.

The Sage Room was a wonderful experience! I ordered the Sage Room Benedict and it was tender and very flavorful with the egg and its contents along with a glass of Cabernet. The Grand Marnier Caramelized Strawberries was the icing on the cake! I thoroughly enjoyed it as well and I will be back.

For the price, you can certainly find better restaurants. Our server (Lisa) took her time greeting us. Her greet? “What do you guys want to drink?”

Generally at a place that’s $50+ a plate, you’re met with a bit of hospitality. I got the filet and while the temperature was good on it, the flavor was lackluster and the outside of it was overly charred. My mashed potatoes were almost cold and the sauce on the steak tasted like a variant of BBQ sauce. My girlfriend’s carbonara was, in my opinion, overly salty and uninspiring.

Second miss for our server was not bringing appetizer plates for our apps we ordered. I had to flag her down to get them for our mussels. Again, a detail that shouldn’t be missed at a fine dining restaurant.

I couldn’t find anything that justified the price for the place and will look elsewhere for fine dining options.

We made dinner reservations, and we're seated right when we arrived. Our sever was prompt , professional, and friendly.
The food was wonderwonderful. My steak was cooked to perfection. The crab cakes was delicious, and the creme Brule is a must.

Great steak house right in Hilton Head. Food was phenomenal. Got to sit at the bar and watch it all get cooked. Service was amazing.

It was a nice meal with friendly service but not worth the price. We had a better meal the same week for less nearby.

The restaurant is beautiful, the staff are fantastic. A few orders of food were not so great. The crab cakes were so salty, that I could not eat them and it was the same reaction from our group of eight. The filets and fish dinners were great. The short ribs were a very small serving plus they were so full of fat, they were not eatable for one person.

If ever a place deserved a FIVE star rating, it would be the Sage Room! I will judge all other classy restaurants based on the experience this place gave us.
The food was spectacular! The Tomahawk pork chop was the best pork chop that my tastebuds have ever experienced! The Champagne Scallops melt in your mouth with amazing flavor. The Crab Cake appetizer will make you wonder if you should get a second order. They are that good! I highly suggest making reservations here. We sat at the bar, and the two bartenders could make anything. Both of them were exceptional, and they made us feel like family. We've been coming to HH for many years, and we will now make this a date night tradition. We can't thank you enough for this incredible experience.

The Sage Room was recommended by friends and I finally had the opportunity to try it. We came from Beaufort, SC to Hilton Head Island to celebrate my birthday. I was greeted with a “Happy Birthday” by the hostess which was a nice surprise and quickly seated even though we were a few minutes early. I thought it took a few minutes too long to get water and have a drink order taken, but that was the only slow part of the night. Our waitress was terrific. We started with focaccia, Caesar Salad and had a ribeye and poached filet for our entrees. The ribeye was perfect as was the filet. I thought the outside of my steak had a perfect crust, and it did not require any more seasoning for my taste.
For dessert we enjoyed the Salted Caramel Crème Brûlée. This was wonderful.
The Sage Room is a busy restaurant but not so noisy we could not hear each other.
Altogether we enjoyed the experience. I don’t know that we will make the drive just to eat there again, there are other options just as good. I would encourage you to make your reservations if you are in the area. You won’t be disappointed.

My wife and I dined here for our anniversary. We had pretty high expectations and this place exceeded them. The food and service were both amazing. We will be back the next time we travel to Hilton Head.

My wife and I got the filet, was not a good steak…was sliced in 2 thin steaks…definitely not worth the price we paid. We figured there were many great reviews and wanted to give it a shot…the filet at quarterdeck’s was much better. It’s very expensive for what you get.

Let me start off saying our server, James was excellent. However, the food didn’t live up to his effort. We had visited The Sage Room two years ago and thought it was so extraordinary that we came twice in one week.
Unfortunately, this visit back was a sad comparison to our prior visits. The food was very sub par. My wife and friend ordered the pork chop that was dry and very tough. Two of us ordered the crab cake appetizer that was very good. We also were seated in one of the least desirable tables in a high traffic area.
We thought that this must have been an anomaly and returned four days later. I called ahead to let them know that we were celebrating our 46th wedding anniversary and she said she would make the Chef aware. This time around they tried to seat us at the same lousy table and we asked to be moved. We ordered the crab cakes again but this time they were extremely salty and cold. My wife and I ordered the “Reserve” Ribeye steak that was not Prime grade and sub par.
Additionally, we ordered dessert and there was never a mention of our anniversary. Very sad to see a restaurant fall this far. Obviously the owners focus must be elsewhere.
We very rarely give negative reviews but the lack of quality, consistency, preparation and customer service can’t be ignored.
