We had dinner there this past week. We love the Sage room. Every time we visit HH, we enjoy a meal at Sage. We were so disappointed this time. The service was just terrible. Our meal was equally not good, but we couldn’t complain since our server never bothered to check on us. Not sure we will ever go back

This will be a staple for us moving forward when visiting HHI. We had a reservation at the chefs table. They were amazing to talk to and the experience was great watching them prepare the meals. Our waitress was amazing and made us feel comfortable and laugh. We tried the appetizer special which was a shrimp dish with peas and corn. Sounds weird but was delicious. Wife and I both said our kids would even love this. We also had crab cakes which were very good! Just wish they were a little bigger but I'll take small and delicious with real lump crab any day! Entrees were amazing. Best pork chop I've had in my life and the glaze was amazing. Chefs gave us extra glaze to use for the Brussel sprouts and pork chop for dipping. Wife had braised beef that will melt in your mouth. Awesome place!

They weren’t open for 10 mins and called to make a take-out order and they said no thank you. I have a hard time understanding declining a guaranteed sale with little to know work. Very disappointed two entrees was asking too much. If you can’t fit that in I’ve got grave concerns for how you manage your business.

At 76 years of age this place was too noisy for me my wife and the other couple that we were eating with.
Server Tony was Awesome! Good beer and wine selection. Enjoyed the shrimp appetizer, and onion soup appetizer. Then the dinner food came. Green beans were okay, au gratin potatoes were bland. Ordered a $60 dollar blackened steak...taste like a burnt steak. They relied on the blackened seasoning for taste...wrong answer unless you are going to actually blacken it. Steak was tough and fatty. I've had WAY better steaks at Ruths Chris and Longhorn. Wife ordered the same steak not blackened. Bland and tough. Not even seasoned with salt and pepper like they SHOULD be. Third person ordered the rack of lamb...it was pretty good. If you go here I DO NOT recommend paying the money for steak. Not good. Try something else. Don't put "fine dining" if you can't even cook a steak.

Four of us went for a birthday celebration. It was absolutely perfect. Food, ambience, service were all wonderful! Started with focaccia, had scallops, lamb and halibut. All were excellent!!

You should stop reading this review immediately and tell Google maps to take you to Sage Room. Everyone at our table agreed our meal was fantastic. We had snow peas, fried ravioli, shrimp cocktail, crabcakes, pork chops, tuna, keylime martinis, bread pudding and a peanut butter chocolate situation. I’ve seen a few negative reviews mentioned not having bread—why would you fill yourself up with bread when all this other food is so delicious? Our entire conversation was about how good the food was. Our waiter took great care of us and the rest of the room. He was hospitable, and took care of each table in a friendly manner. The restaurant seems to take great care of their staff and they, in turn, take great care of the customers. Don’t miss this if you’re on Hilton Head.
