Sea Grass Grille

It had been a few years since we dined at the Seagrass Grill. We have always enjoyed the Seagrass. Last night just didn’t live up to expectations. My veal was very dry and pounded too thin. My daughter’s Mahi was flavorful, but overcooked ( her opinion). My two other guests both had flounder and later admitted there was too much sauce over the fish.

I found out that new owners took over the business and I wish them well, but they need to step up their game. (My opinion)

Went in to pickup a doordash and hostess/server/ whatever lady was very rude. Restaurant wasn't busy and she was treating customers like it was peak time rush. Food for pickup also took abnormally long than anywhere else. Customers also appeared to be waiting for a while for their food. Lady working was miserable.

Was hoping for the protein pancake on the website, but they were out, so I got the protein omlette and 1 regular pancake, and it was plenty and tasty. Very peaceful atmosphere and excellent service

Id like to update my review as the restaurant reached out about the pricing issue. We did question the waitress and tried to tell her that she had rung in mimosa flights instead of mimosas but she was adement she had done to correctly and we didnt want to argue if there had been a change. I appreciate the restaurant fixing the mistake for sure. We love this place. We get a tomato pie to share (it is amazing) and then we still all order different food. You cant go wrong with the crepes, avocado toast or the French toast sandwich. Thanks again!

We have been going to brunch for a while and today ordered our beverages without looking at the beverage menu. The mimosa use to be $4 today they were $12 a piece which i think is crazy. Disappointed in the crazy price increase.

This used to be our favorite restaurant to go to before the theater. We were running late because the traffic was horrendous on a Saturday night on the holiday weekend. I called several times giving them our ETA. when we got there we told them we were going to the theater and would they be able to accommodate us. theater started at 7:30 we got our food at 7:10 three of us ordered the shrimp and pasta, there was a lot of pasta and very few shrimp but the flavor was good. I tried the new Chef special where you pick two appetizers and two entrees both the salmon and the chicken were so dry and hard like leather they could not be eaten. they were short staffed so it was hard to get good to service. Will think twice before going back.

Today our server was Aly, and she absolutely crushed it.

The restaurant was very busy, but very quick to get us seated. Aly not only ran the host stand, but gave us incredible service. Our food was great. Service was excellent. We will be back for Aly.

To the management team, i am looking forward to coming back and having her as my server. She should be front of line for a serving position ASAP.

We had a reservation. We got there and stood around for about 10 minutes because the servers were more worried about setting up a table for a larger party that was not even at the restaurant yet than seating us. Finally when we were seated, we sat there for about 10 minutes with no drinks. We then had to leave because no servers were asking about drinks as they were still just setting up other tables rather than accommodating the ones already there. There were also dirty plates every where and the restaurant was not clean. Had we had better servers, we might have been able to at least get drinks or maybe food. We now wasted our reservation and are finding a different place.

My wife and I had not been to Sea Grass Grille in several years. Wish we had returned sooner. We had dinner yesterday evening and the food and service were both excellent. My wife has dietary restrictions and the chef prepared her meal exactly as she requested. Highly recommend Sea Grass Grille. We will be back soon.

This was our first time visiting this restaurant. I must say that it was some of the best food that we've had on Hilton Head Island. I had the Spa Salmon, which was a nice sized portion of fish, prepared very well and tasted excellent. My wife had the Grouper Piccata, which sounds weird but was outstanding. It was a very large portion of grouper and it was prepared better than any Grouper I've ever had. The lemon and caper sauce were light but just perfect to complement the fish.

Also, we commented on the fact that the food was served at exactly the perfect -hot- temperature. A lot of restaurants can't seem to get food to the table while it's still hot.

A nice thing about this restaurant is that all entrees come with a small house salad (also very good) and 2 sides (ours were escalloped potatoes and some carrots and broccoli, both were excellent as well).

We have not been there in a couple of years. Typically we go every year we visit Hilton Head. I must say OUTSTANDING!!!! Food was delicious and prepared with a lot of thought and expertise!!! Compliments to the chef!!
It was 3 of us we all got a different entree. Every one was delighted!!! Will most definitely return!!! And the couple next to us said the same!!!! 5 stars and more!!!!

Our first visit here. Sadly we won't be back. The host was friendly, however the server not so much. Salmon was not good. Salads were extremely small. Very dark inside. Outside tables were not being used because of insects. Restrooms are in the kitchen... Really!

Good service and food, you can see the chef working, she is doing a great job - my wife was amazed by her organization and cleanliness.
