We have travelled to HHI for 34 years first with kids and now with grandchildren. We stay two weeks in the summer and two weeks in the fall. Signe’s pound cakes are always a treat and their lunches are great. We always bring a few pound cakes home.

So so disappointing. We ordered a couple of pies for Thanksgiving at $25 a piece. They sounded fantastic, but just weren't. The crust seemed burned, and was like a regular pie crust, but chocolate flavored? Not a hit for me. Also tried 2 flavors of pound cake and didn't like them. The cookies looked very flat and dry so didn't even want to try those.

This bakery has great items and has always been a frequent stop. After today I will never go back. I waited 15 minutes to even be acknowledged by anyone. People who came in after me were waited on before me. I finally left without any pound cake. Will never be back.

Huge disappointed with Signe Bakery. Ordered desserts for my daughter's wedding 1 month ago. Went to pick them up Saturday morning to delivery to the venue. They failed to make the desserts ordered. I was shocked. Had to order what I could get. Extremely disappointed in what was delivered to the venue 1 hour prior to the wedding. The worst part was my daughter and new son in law didn't get their cake that had been ordered. I was heartbroken. I was given an apology that they missed place the order and never made it and then charged full price for what we got. None of the desserts flavor were even what we wanted.

I'm sorry...disgusting!!! Absolutely awful! First, if you are going to continue to "ride" the Food Network thing you may want to update that 2004 Rachel Ray episode with something a little more up to date. Second, service was slow. Third...food was NOT fresh! And hardly ANY pastries or things to choose from in the bakery. Save your money...you will be disappointed here.

Picked up a Key Lime Pie today while vacationing at Hilton Head. We always enjoying trying the local pies while traveling and up until know, the best Key Lime Pie we’ve ever had was in the Florida Keys. Today however, we found a new winner and a pie from here will definitely be on the list the next time we are in town!

With all due respect in my opinion the breakfast was absolutely horrible. The French toast was terrible. Not sure why they would call it French toast as it seemed to have been baked the night before and left to sit in a tray evidenced by the layer of gelatin at the bottom and all egg at the top of the slice of "French toast" The bacon was most definitely purchased in bulk for price saving and then possibly heated in an air fryer/microwave Sausage patty was gross. Perhaps the baked goods are good however the term "cafe" should be removed from all signage. Very very disappointing

My wife ordered a dozen, Red Velvet cupcakes to celebrate a recent promotion while on HHI. The cupcakes were extremely dry & tasted like the cupcakes weren’t fresh. Super unsatisfied & disappointed that we wasted $48 on cupcakes that would have been fresher from a local store chain. We’ll definitely not order from Signes again while on HHI!

Ordered 2 cakes for a birthday party while vacationing on the island. We got the Heaven Bound Chocolate and Jessica's Pink Lemonade. They were absolutely beautifully decorated however the taste was most disappointing. Both were dry and the chocolate tasted bitter. No one in our family enjoyed them and even the children would not eat them. I called to voice my concern and was told that the cakes are not old. Never did I suggest that the cakes were old, merely dry. I was told that the cakes need to be at room temperature, which they were, and that the chocolate cake is a dense like a brownie. Instructed to put in the microwave for a few seconds. No explanation for the dryness of the "Pink Lemonade" cake. The customer service was less than stellar and a simple "sorry" was about what received. There was absolutely no service recovery! Have been coming to HHI for years and have ordered from Signe's many times. Will not go back.

I’m pretty easy to please and this place was just sad. French toast was soggy and tasteless. Sausage seemed microwaved. Selection of pastries was sparse and they were all individually wrapped and looked old. Eggs are served poached only. The people were very nice but it couldn’t make up for such bad food.

Very small selection of pastries. Bought a blueberry muffin. It was dry, tasteless am Nd the blueberries were as hard as raisins. Definitely not going back.

A great place for breakfast or lunch, as well as for bakery goods. Picnic lunches are available. A terrific location for a quiet and intimate delicious breakfast for two.

Great place to try while in HH. While I did enjoy the french toast, it was a bit too "eggy" for my taste. Where this place shines is the bakery. We purchased the key lime pie, various cookies and crumb cake. All the aforementioned bakery selections were delicious. Unfortunately at the time we visited there was one lady serving seated customers and working the bakery register. Get there early for the best selection and be patient.

Best food ever. Signe has been cooking and baking here forever. Best sandwiches in town! And desserts are to die for. If you see one of her key lime pie's- grab it! Or at least get one piece.
