Loved the oysters and brussel sprouts! A little chilly, take a jacket, but lovely experience!

Food was amazing. Was looking for some grits since I came to Hilton Head and the Carolina Room did not disappoint.
My wife and I had an awesome time eating here. Great food and atmosphere. Are waiter Ricardo was the best.
Delicious food, very pleasant server. This wasn't our first time, and definitely won't be our last. :)
We have visited this restaurant a few times and it's always been great. With my food sensitivities they have very accommodating. I enjoyed the filet with shrimp and french fries all with no type of dairy or eggs. My wife enjoyed the grits with grilled chicken. Kevin in the kitchen with William at the bar and Kenji as our server did a great job.
Atmosphere is old, dark, dreary, drab, and needed a refresh about 15 years ago. They should also open the big curtains that separate the breakfast buffet room to let some natural light into the space. Prices for drinks are steep ($18 for an espresso martini), but is to be expected at this type of hotel bar. The bartender was brand new and was very friendly and provided great/prompt service. We ordered 1 Corona Light and 3 espresso martinis for $79 including tip. The espresso martinis were tiny! We asked if he remembered to add all the ingredients because the coup glasses were half full, and he said the shape of the glass is bigger at the bottom which is why they looked small. They were 4 sips each (yes, we counted!) The gentlemen next to us ordered a gin martini and he complained too and was told the same thing about the shape of the glass. Being from NYC, we’re used to paying $18 for drinks but they need to be a proper pour to justify at a tired old place like this. Would not suggest this place to family or friends. There are too many nice places on this island; don’t waste your time and money at this place.

Our server was spectacular. I would go here every time I am here. We got the steak and it was cooked to perfection.
We are staying at the Westin and had dinner at the Carolina Room last night. My husband and I had the steak and halibut and it was fantastic. We ate at a table at the bar and the bartender was so attentive and nice. We even met the chef Kevin who was so friendly and wonderful. Highly recommend and we would come back again!

Arrived to The Westin last night and ordered room service from our room. My wife and I ordered a Burger and Spinach Chicken Salad with Balsamic Dressing. The order was delivered in a timely manner but they forget the Balsamic Dressing. After calling three times and waiting for 45 minutes I finally walked to The Carolina Room and picked up the dressing. Poor service and very pricey, would not recommend. Rough start to the vacation but beautiful hotel. The other staff in the hotel have been outstanding!

Excellent flavor profiles. Nice presentation. Service was very immature, asking if we wanted dessert before we were even finished with our entrees. Staff needs more training but they are trying hard.

We ate dinner here for our first night at the Westin. The restaurant was freezing. The food was mediocre and overpriced for what it was. The waitress was nice. We tried again for breakfast. It was super crowded even tho the hotel was not full. When we checked in the hostess was snippy and refused to provide us with a ballpark estimate for how long the wait was for a table. This place really needs an upgrade for a hotel of this caliber both in terms of food quality and service.

overpriced for what you get, but it was okay and it keeps you having to leave the hotel grounds. She Crab soup was more like a bisque, but okay. Steak frites was the best thing on our table. Salads were basic. Not bad, but very overpriced, like everything at the Westin HH... terrible value, even when considering the HH beach location.
We had high hopes for our dinner at The Carolina Room, but unfortunately, the experience fell far short of expectations. It took over an hour for our food to arrive, and when it finally did, the quality was underwhelming, especially considering the nearly $500 bill. The kids' fries were hard and inedible, and overall, the food lacked the freshness and flavor you'd expect from a restaurant of this caliber. For a property like the Westin, we anticipated a much higher standard. Disappointing and not an experience we'd repeat.
Was not very pleased with our experience in July 2025. Food was overpriced, options limited, service was slow and ambience is lacking for the cost. We will not be visiting the Carolina room again.
We did not enjoy the restaurant. The restaurant was freezing and it was dirty. We know it was the 4th of July weekend and the Westin hotel was busy, however it was not a pleasant experience to eat at this restaurant. The food was relatively okay. The only good part was our server. She was very nice and even got me a blanket since it was so cold. We would never go back.
