New to this bakery, we were looking forward to a leisurely Saturday morning, a great cup of coffee and a warm croissant. All of the above were met except for what happened. We didn’t know that if you took takeout, you couldn’t sit at their outside tables. The take out Server was extremely sweet and nice explaining you had to check at the hostess stand first. Two coffees two pastries later she sit us at an outside table and explained that maybe next time go to the hostess stand I asked how do you know what pastry you can order and the poor server has to go through the entire list. We paid $38 for two coffees a few pastries. I gave the takeout server a $10 tip for being so sweet only to have some obnoxious long hair punk come out and tell us.” Next time, make sure you go to the hostess stand! coffee was good, pastries overpriced, Ignorant reception would never go back!

This bakery is first class setting, you feel like you are in Paris and the pastries melt in your mouth. Lovely!

…..and yet, I will not return…. After spending nearly $60.00 and tipping 20% at the counter we asked to sit outside to enjoy the treats. We were told we were not welcome to sit on the sidewalk and enjoy. The server on the outside with 10 empty tables would not get a tip. We were told to take our pastries and sit in the park. Policy over service on a dead Wednesday lost you business on Thursday and Friday and Saturday. It was so good I would have been there each day. And one unwelcoming word and I will not be back.

Wonderful experience on a rainy day. Our server, Mark, took great care of us and the owner stopped by our table and made us feel very special for coming. Will definitely return.

The food 10/10 , service 10/10, atmosphere 10/10. Eat outside if you can, don’t expect super fast service ( you don’t need it, enjoy the space), we ordered omelettes which were fluffy and delicious, our children had the French toast which was absolutely delectable! The coffees were great, server ( Nick) was an absolute delight and went out of his way to make hubby a specific coffee he loves. This is a must when on HHI!

Giving only 2 starts as it’s not family friendly. I came with my two girls and one baby and we spent almost $40. After paying, my girls decided to try the cakes there but the lady at the store told us that since we requested the items to-go we couldn’t sit at a table. So we had to leave and try the cakes outside under the rain - again, with a baby of 4 months ! In addition, the food is overpriced , with prices similar or even higher than DC. Lastly, the cake of strawberry and vanilla could have more fresh strawberries in the filling to justify the high price.

the fruit tart was terrible and pricing expensive.

Fruit tart was terrible would not recommend. Ended up throwing it away. Drinks were of good quality. Other baked goods were okay not worth the price. Would not return to this bakery.

Jesse was amazing!!!! Friendly, helpful with what to order, and very attentive!! Will return on our trip.
