Absolutely delicious cupcakes and she went above and beyond to make sure they were safe for my sons allergies!

Bernie, the owner, is so kind and accommodating. We are a vegan family, so we were so happy to find a yummy vegan donut menu on vacation. The options are extensive. I’ve attached pictures of the menu, ordering instructions, and pick up location (as of this review 1/25). My son also has severe peanut allergies. She answered all of my questions regarding cross contamination, etc. The donuts are delicious and fluffy! Highly recommend. We’ll be returning customers each time we visit HHI! 😋

These “donuts” are good but they are cake donuts (dense and heavy) NOT yeast donuts (yeast donuts are what your used to light and puffy). This is something you need to know before ordering considering the price. They are very good if cake donuts are what you want.

You do order online and then pick up the next day pay via cash or Venmo.

Christy at the Purple Cow is truly an angel on the ground! She filled a very last minute request for a birthday carrot cake for a friend in Asheville who is feeding and providing water for victims displaced by Helene. A delicious bit of happy in a dark and dismal day and…she would not accept payment. Thanks is not enough.

We love Purple Cow! I look forward to the donuts every year. I would recommend the sprinkle, raspberry, toasted coconut, cinnamon crumb cake and the blueberry muffin.

Make sure you check the days and times. Wierd hours only open Wednesday to Friday.

Bernie created the most beautiful cupcakes and cake for my wedding. To add to the experience she gave us, her baking is so delicious. By far it was the most divine spice cake and salted caramel frosting. 🧁

Google maps still had this as a location to visit, however, we could not find this location.

Bernie was so great to work with and she made the most delicious lemon raspberry dairy free wedding cake for our daughter’s wedding. Highly recommend!

TL;DR: they only do online orders there is no physical building.

I feel bad giving such a low review just letting people know that this bakery is NOT here anymore it’s just online now! It took us awhile to try and find it only to go on Maps and find in the update section that it’s not there anymore :(. If you’re looking to online or custom order check this place out! They have really good reviews. If you’re looking for something in the moment. Try Duck’s Donuts or Hilton Head Bakery South! Both delicious spots!!

The location listed is a post office box. I hate to leave a 1 star but you wasted an half hour of our time trying to find a dead location. If you’re a made to order bakery then please remove your location from Google maps.

I hosted a party and contacted Lisa about some tasty treats. We settled on mini bundt cakes— carrot, vanilla, and chocolate. Oh. My. Goodness. These exceeding my expectations. Cake was moist and icing (butter cream & cream cheese) was just right! Not too sweet or over powering. She was so accommodating for pick up times and everything I wanted. I wish I had taken a picture. The presentation was perfect!!! Get Lisa to help with your events…you won’t regret it!

I love the Purple Cow! I was so sad when I saw their storefront was gone this year but was so excited when I saw their popup at Fat Baby’s! We got their first thing and got a baker’s dozen of their selection for the day and they were a hit with the family! Definitely recommend!
