Top Dawg Tavern & Pizzeria - Hilton Head

Enjoyed lunch there with my daughters the other day. Rose was an amazing bartender! Really enjoyed the southwestern eggrolls, and the wings were fantastic! I highly recommend for any lunch or dinner plans!

Beware! This place reeks of mold. I mean seriously gross. We had to leave before we even ordered drinks. Stay outside on the patio if u go. Blech! 🤮🤮🤮

If you scan the reviews, you will see the major ups/downs in food and inservice. We experienced many downs since first review and dropped TD from our list. Weather drove us to give it another try and hence this review.
We were greeted by a new bartender, Norris, who was personable, attentive and just a great guy. Food was better than expected and Norris just made the experience complete. He read our minds; extra napkins, wet wipes, salt/pepper, filled waters without us asking... He's already made a difference, we will return based on his level of service. We also learned John is back as the manager - great guy and knows his stuff. If anyone can get this place back to consistent standards, he can.

ORIGINAL REVIEW

We are new to the area and still getting our bearings. Top Dawg was one of our first stops as they were very accommodating to our dog. Staff was super friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and overall very helpful. We dined both at the bar and the outside dining area and have not been disappointed. The daily specials, both food and drinks are always interesting too. We have since started ordering takeout which is ready within 15mins. Thx to John and the whole crew for always bringing their A-game both personally and professionally! See y'all soon!

Worst dining experience I've had in years!
Rude/racist hostess canceled our party for no reason. We only found or party was cancelled after waiting and hour and noticing our party was crossed off after checking with the hostess. Again after an hour... maybe because we were all hispanic... or maybe not? 😒 Just so happened that we were all minorities. The manager then got us seated as quickly as he could. But then the food took forever. Orders were wrong and incomplete. Food was mediocre at best.
There are plenty of other restaurants in Hilton Head that are more deserving on your hard earned money.

Just arrived during harbor fest. Spoke to an absolute rude host host. Set a party of 14. She’s very arrogantly said it’s going to be over an hour wait as if she didn’t want us to even be there. We waited over an hour to have to go and check if it would much longer. Again the hostess blew us off saying another 30 min. We waited 30 more minutes to be told that we were scratched off the entire list. Finally a manger came and took care of us and has us wait another 15 minutes and I have no idea if we are going to even be sat. Horrible communication and very unprofessional. Our family will not be coming back to this place again.

These ppl are so slow disorganized I waited forever until I just left couldn’t even place a to go order no one greeted u and standing on the inside you truly see the chaos visiting from out of town come ever year would never come again

When they opened a few years back they were absolutely amazing. Food was great. Got good sized portions. Didn't have to wait on wait staff. But now, you're lucky if you can get something to drink after they sit you down. And the food? Where do I start? It has gone to the birds. The food really isn't that good & the portions? You might as well be a bird because it won't even fill them up. We have not eaten at the Pizza Tavern so I cannot comment on their pizza's.
