Nov 2024 - Casual, marsh-side eatery with really delicious food. Good service. Good drinks. The conch fritters were fantastic! Blackened Mahi sandwich was good (could have been more heavily seasoned for my taste). Lunch here was great.

I ordered the crab cakes, which were mostly bread crumbs. The only reason I gave the atmosphere 3 stars is because the restaurant next door (Fish Camp) had live music that you could hear. I will not go back again.

Best black bean burger and onion rings on the island! Service is always great and you cannot beat the views! Casual at its best...don't dress up and if you do, keep your nose pointed south. This is a laid back spot the locals enjoy.. let's keep it that way.

Besides the hush puppies, the flounder basket and the flounder sandwich were disappointing. The popcorn shrimp were also horrible and the server just kind of sucked, for lack of better words.

Not sure why this place has such high reviews. If you like frozen fish thrown in the deep fryer, then this is your place. Hush puppies were the only decent part of the menu. All 4 entrees we got (flounder platter, mahi mahi platter, chicken fingers, and fried oysters) were completely mediocre. Decent service and view of intercoastal were the only redeeming qualities. Wish HHI had more places that still served fresh seafood.

Nice restaurant to hang out and enjoy the Waterview. And, the food was delicious!! Look at that thick burger! Hubby had grilled trigger fish. He said it was so good.

The team was the best. The bartender greeted me outside to make sure I was okay on my crutches. The waitress made a way for me to get to the restroom with ease.

We will certainly be back!

Up the Creek is a friendly spot that strikes me as more of a neighborhood bar than a fancy waterside restaurant such as other offerings in the area. The food is simple, but good. I had the peel and eat shrimp, and they were nicely seasoned with Old Bay. The on tap beer selection was eclectic, and there were some, frankly, strange beers on offer. I think we taken the ‘micro-brewery’ concept too far when we start mixing fruits into beer. The service was super-friendly, with none of the ‘I live here, you don’t’ vibe that you can get at some places on the island. A great place for a sunset drink and some food, but it’s small so get there early if you want an outdoor table.

Very good food, nice staff and a beautifu view make this restaurant one you shouldn't miss. We were looking for a new place to eat in Hilton Head Island when we found this gem. A little out of the main roads, but we'll worth the drive. We went at sunset and sat outside, where they have large fans running to keep it cooler and the bugs away. Definitely coming back.

Wonderful service. Fantastic food. Great views of the water. We had steamed shrimp, crab cakes (with sides of fries, coleslaw and hush puppies) and an oyster po-boy with a side of fried okra. Everything was great. My wife always tells me she doesn't like hush puppies and I always tell her that every place makes them differently and convinced her to try these - she loved them. The fried okra was also some of the best I ever had.
