The Vagabond crabbing cruise experience was top notch! The crew were very knowledgeable, entertaining and best of all…we caught a lot of different sea creatures throughout the trip! We even got to see dolphins swim throughout the bay, kind of a 2 for 1 experience. I would highly recommend for any family to try this experience.

Everyone was so nice! They took a family picture as we were boarding, and the price wasn't hideous. The boat was safe and clean, and we saw a good number of dolphins. It is great for kids 8-15, where it is hard to find family activities to keep everyone happy. Nice staff. Great narration. I would recommend it. We had someone get sick last minute, and we had to cancel one ticket. They were very nice about refunding us. Positive experience all around!

Good: The boat was clean, easy to find and we saw several pods of dolphins which was amazing. The information 'Captain Jimmy' relayed over the speaker was really interesting, the gals on staff were friendly, talkative and enjoyable.Neutral: 90 minutes was a bit too long. At around an hour people were no longer as engaged, on their phones, etc.We sat in the back of the boat and the exhaust wasn't pleasant when it blew your way.At $45 a person, the trip was already pricy, but seeing the staff hold buckets for tips as you leave felt more like obligatory guilt-tipping than optional.Poor: The captain mentioned buying alcohol from the bar several times (in a fake DJ voice), saying being in a constant state of inebriation makes vacation better, drink with us, let's party, etc. It was cringy and not appropriate. The couple in front of us with three kids shook their heads.As we were docking the Captain sarcastically snapped at a group of young men to get out of his way, as they were (unknowingly) blocking his view. He tried to recover and get back 'in character' by joking it's important to see where he's going, but it was too late. It felt really ugly, especially since the guys didn't do it on purpose and graciously hopped out of the way when he scolded them. It made the trip end on an odd note.

Major tourist trap, and could have been a quarter of the time. Overpriced for what the tour really is. While we did see lots of dolphins, the cruise experience was a let down. And, the captain/ speaker had a strange, unenthusiastic tone. I hope he is okay.

My wife and I had a great time on the vagabond going to and from Daufuskie Island. The crew was great sharing local knowledge of the Low country and the islands near Hilton Head. We highly recommend the Vagabond so you can enjoy the natural beauty of the Low country
The trip is a great way to get from HHI to Savannah for a day trip. Smooth sailing with great views, engaging crew and refreshments if you want them.
