The confirmed our reservations and when we got to the restaurant, they were closed. They didn't answer the phone and then blocked my number for calling to see what was going on. Multiple people were in the same boat as us and everyone was very disappointed.
I Made these reservations months ago. I got a text the day before requesting MY confirmation that we would be there and I replied affirmatively. The next day we showed up and the restaurant had been permanently closed for several weeks. We had been looking forward to returning to this restaurant for a long time. It would have been nice if someone could have informed us about the closure. There was obviously no communication between Open Table and the restaurant. Open Table needs improvement.
We went to Vine last night for dinner and it was CLOSED!!! No sign outside just locked up tight. You should do a better job checking out these restaurants. How do you think we did getting into a restaurant on Saturday night. Don't know if I can trust this sight anymore Brenda Madigan
Tonight's meal is one of those meals that you hope goes better than all of the prior reviews, unfortunately it did not. Sad to say that the Vine of past years no longer is present. Our server did her very best with what she was given. Sad to say, she was not given very much. The food was sub par (how do you burn pesto??) they were out of a number of menu items (olives with pimento served in a dish instead of capers). Our hope for the future is that the owners pay attention to their business - you have a wait staff that is forced to apologize all evening long to the entire dining room for essentially the lack of solid management.
The place was hard to find in the shopping center but once found the atmosphere was quant and romantic. Burning candle on each table, the lighting was dim so keep in mind trying to read menu. The food arrived to table very fast and luke warm but after our meal we were offered free key lime pie which was very good.
Don't make the same mistake we made by going to this restaurant. In a word, the food was awful. This is a tiny little restaurant where everything seemed to be a challenge. The Butterfish entree came with jasmine rice. The fish was bland and the rice was burned. The waitress was pleasant but seemed overwhelmed.
Restaurant was understaffed, very dim and outdated. Portions were laughably small. My entree included 3 scallops, 2 ravioli and a small side of vegetables. Terrible presentation. Best bet was the ice cream around the corner afterwards. Waste of $.
I discovered Vine during my last visit. It has quickly moved to the top of my list as my favorite dining experience on Hilton Head Island. The food is absolutely superb, each dish carefully prepared.... with attention to subtle flavors and details of presentation. The service was lovely. Tucker, our host, was well informed about each dish, had a full knowledge of the wine list and was able to offer informed suggestions along the way. The setting is intimate and cozy, creating a relaxing evening. It is not an evening to be hurried, but an evening to be savored for the food as well as the ambiance. It is a restaurant I highly recommend!

Charming, small restaurant. Service a little slow due to only two servers. Osso Bucco perfect! Mushroom tart delicious. Lasagne a disappointment- very small serving and overcooked. Good location. Willing to try again.

The environment was “under renovation “ and the owner Richard seemed disheveled and in need of a shower. The menu was lacking and the filet was out of stock along with the lobster. The food was bland and awful. Won't go back
A little off their game. Entree portions were small. My pear and gorganzola ravioli worked out to $5 per piece. Market price pasta entree was small as well. Napkins had just come out of machine and were wet and had to be exchanged. We have been there several times but were disappointed this time. Hopefully they will find their stride again!
The waiter/chef were very nice, but the cocktails were quite mediocre as was the food. Would suggest you skip this.
We had an excellent dinner at Vine. Tucker was an excellent server and made us feel right at home. The caprese tower, lobster ravioli and linguine pomodoro were all fresh and delicious. Great spot for a relaxed, romantic night out. Great wine list, great service.
We had an amazing dinner tonight. Tucker was the best server ever, super knowledgeable with great recommendations. We got a lot of food and it was all amazing. Strongly recommend the black truffle linguini!
