This is a must stop especially on Friday and Saturday for the turkey neck and lima beans and rice. Seriously so good ya’ll. We also had the fried shrimp, oysters, flounder, and fried okra. The wings were good too. Gwen was amazing and kind. Great cocktails too. Will be back!
The food is beyond delicious and the owners and staff are all phenomenal. I always have a good experience at the Pier
Great people
If you are on your way to Edisto Island, you MUST stop here to eat!! Friendly service! There are a lot of seafood choices. Scrumptious food!! Everything we ate was cooked perfectly. For fried food, very little grease. We ate every bite. Gwen was truly welcoming. We were unable to go back. We were sad about that, but if we come back to this area, we will surely go back to eat there.
Great food and drinks!!!
I had my first seafood platter from Pier 162 Bistro & Seafood and I must say it was absolutely delicious. My shrimps (large), scallops, whiting and oysters were fried to perfection and so fresh. Seasoned very well. I substituted the fries for my favorite okra and they were perfect. Sorry I didn’t get the cook’s name but honey you sure did your thing! I highly recommend them and I will be back again. Shout out to all the ladies in the house. Thank you Gwen and Kendra for your true Gullah Hospitality, greeting everyone that came through the door.❤️
Their flounder is tilapia. Don’t be fooled. Buy some fresh flounder from them and you will see for yourself!
Great place love the food
Wonderful welcoming staff! Great food and a comfortable environment. Even the patrons were great and welcoming! The entire place told us goodbye when we left! Southern hospitality at its best! We will be back! Our waitress (Gwen, I think), was especially sweet!
Wonderful fried shrimp!! Really nice staff! My ONLY complaint was the parking. I pulled in and the way other customers were parked erratically I went all the way to the back grassy field. When I came out I was blocked from going out of one entrance I waited a few minutes and ended up having to cut through what use to be a drive thru and just barely was able to squeeze by another car randomly parked in no apparent parking g place. So that was a bit of a pain. The lot just needs more well defined clear parking slots. But absolutely amazing fried shrimp!! So that made up for parking issue! Thank you Pier 162!!!

I tried this place twice since I was staying in the area. I had some spicy steamed mussels on my first visit. And spicy they were, good thing I had a few beers to wash them down. And my second visit I asked about getting raw oysters, little did I know I had to shuck them myself. And it was a job to do so, I gave up after a half an hour trying and left about four on the plate. I also ordered the fried shrimp (8) and got (12) which I could not finish. This is definitely a locals place. Low lighting inside and it was always very chilly so wear a light jacket. Service is good when they are not doing their personal things at work. Parking is just for a few cars unless you want to park out in a field.
Scallops and fried okra. Great customer service
OUTSTANDING! Good people and good food.
First time there and food was excellent and staff friendly. Will definitely be back.
We absolutely enjoyed our dinners Friday! The scallops, shrimp, fish and wings were delicious! Gwen was super sweet!Being that we live on the "out skirts" supporting local business is important... But sometimes they simply miss the mark... Pier 162 Bistro certainly did not!Everything was cooked to order. Hot, fresh and seasoned perfectly! We are looking forward to seeing Pier 162 Bistro grow and flourish.
