Stopped by back in January, and was harassed at the bar by one on their regulars (which I didn’t know at the time). I could tell the lady just had to much to drink, she asked me how much time did I do and which gang I was affiliated with because of my tattoos (I took these comments offensive). The bartender noticed and all her attention turned to me to see my reaction..After a brief debate I simply told them I was a veteran and never did time and brought a drink for the lady and her male friend before calling for a ride home because I had a few drinks. I went back today for the 2nd time and was met at my car by the same woman making comments which I ignored and walked inside which she followed, yelling “CHECK HIS ID”. I had a seat at the bar but was told I couldn’t be served (by the same bartender/owner) because she was told not to because I have a drinking problem (which I confirm wasn’t true). I do think these statements are crazy being that I was at a bar, I didn’t cause any trouble after being harassed by what seems to be a family member or friend. I understand as a business you have the right to refuse service to anyone, I also do not feel like anything was racially motivated ( by the business) simply just unfair treatment and choosing a customer that’s there all the time over someone that just stopped by which is understandable..unfair but understandable!
