“Sunday brunch at Ruby Sunshine was a nice mix of sweet and savory. I ordered the chicken and waffles with a side of cheesy grits, while my friend chose the shrimp and grits. The chicken had a crisp coating, and the waffles were fluffy with lightly browned edges. The grits were creamy and went well with the savory dishes. The dining room had a busy brunch crowd, but the staff kept things moving without making us feel rushed.”

“We visited Backstreets for the first time today. We loved the food and experience. Our waitress Riley was awesome! I had the baby back ribs with broccoli and a side salad. I'm bougie about my ribs. The ribs were so tender! The broccoli was perfectly steamed with a little char that added to the seasoning. I also had a peach martini. It was perfect! The kids had nachos, chicken tenders, and a baked potato. They enjoyed everything, which says a lot because my daughter doesn't eat beef but she tried the nachos with ground beef. Lastly, we had the brownie a la mode. To my chocolate lovers, you must try!! It was so good...and it was more than enough to share. It was a great first experience!”

“I never leave reviews, but this place is just too good to not share. The drinks are unique and delicious (My favorite is the Island Boi, or the Orange Creamsicle one, or maybe the Coco Loco one 😂😂). And the food is incredible! I’ve never had anything there that I didn’t love. My favorites are the hush puppies, hummus, Veg Fil A sandwich, and the rice and beans bowl. This time when we went, the chef added protein crumbles, nacho cheese, and green onions on top and it was even better. My son loves the Hoot sandwich and he’s 10 years old and usually non-vegan….so that’s a huge compliment to the flavor of that sandwich. On top of all this, the place is just cool. The atmosphere is so comfortable and inviting, like I could stay all night if I didn’t have to put my kid to bed! 🤣 I just really love this place and I’m so glad to see it added to our neighborhood!!”

“The paletas are absolutely delicious! I was a little disappointed, though, because they advertise a cream-filled coffee ice cream paleta, with a sign on the window as well as one on the display counter. It looked amazing, so I was really looking forward to trying it. Unfortunately, when I asked for one, I was told that it had been discontinued. I wish they would remove the signs for items that are no longer available, as it can be a bit misleading and disappointing. Other than that, the paletas we tried were delicious!”

I came by just after the breakfast crush and was able to place my order to go. The staff was efficient and the owner made sure my order was correct. Also it's minutes from Congaree.. we grabbed food after our hike and then went back to eat it at a picnic table in the park while enjoying the scenery. Cannot recommend highly enough. “First time visiting, was nice to have parking right beside the building and not have to negotiate parking on the street. Cute little bakery cafe in a brick strip mall. Few people having a coffee on the patio area. Everything looked so delicious! House made breads, cookies, cakes, and fresh brewed coffee. Will have to come back for lunch, the sandwiches looked so good. Grabbed a bunch of cookies for some client gifts and some lemon bars for me 😏. The staff was so friendly and helpful with all the different options they had freshly made that day. Will surely visit again!”
