“My husband and I had a great experience at Viva Chicken Ballantyne! The value of the food was great and everything that we had was delicious! We highly recommend the rotisserie chicken, fried rice, plantain, and yuca fries. The service was also exceptional! Special shout out the manager, Trey, who went above and beyond to ensure every customer was taken care of and had a great experience!“
“I only eat at this location. Today the manager " Tom" was at cash register, he asked me how I was doing and I said I am ok but so tired. All I can tell you is “ he was so nice and respectful and made me feel like a queen. I am an older lady and no one ever treated me like that in any Resturant. Tom is an asset to any business and thank you Viva Chicken to chose the best. Thank you Tom to make me feel happy after having a rough day. You are the best. Mary“
“Looking for a Latin culinary adventure beyond the typical Mexican and Central American fare in Charlotte? Look no further than Chick-o-Rico! From the moment you step in, you're greeted with a warm ambiance that sets the stage for an unforgettable dining experience.I recently indulged in a lunch feast at Chick-o-Rico, and let me tell you, it was a fiesta for the senses! I kicked things off with a tantalizing chicken empanada that left me craving more. Then, the pièce de résistance arrived – a succulent 1/4 rotisserie chicken served with mouthwatering sides of house salad and rice topped with pinto beans. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, perfectly seasoned and oh-so-satisfying.And let's talk about that salsa picante – although I requested it, I found myself abandoning it after the first heavenly bite of their moist and impeccably seasoned chicken. That's how good it was!If you're a connoisseur of Peruvian chicken chain restaurants, prepare to be blown away. Chick-o-Rico's offerings are in a league of their own, surpassing expectations with every dish.As for beverages, I resisted the temptation to dive into their array of tantalizing juice flavors, because I would have preferred a limonada de coco and they do not offer that. Perhaps next time, I will try one of their beverages. The ambiance was just right – vibrant music filled the air, creating an energetic atmosphere without drowning out the possibility of engaging in lively conversation. In conclusion, Chick-o-Rico delivers an exceptional dining experience that leaves you eagerly anticipating your next visit. Trust me, once you've tasted their culinary delights, you'll be counting down the days until you can indulge again. ¡Buen provecho!“
“Love the interior decorations. Food is fresh and you can tell it is made there. The Margarita I had was one of the best I ever had, made with their own fresh sweet and sour. The menu is authentic Peruvian. The only difficulty was deciding what we wanted as basically the whole menu was something new for us. Do yourself a favor and become a frequent customer of this local, family owned restaurant!“
“Authentic South American food, original mural art, festive atmosphere. Every time I eat there, fond memories of backpacking vacations south of the border come alive... The food is good, and it feels down home and special. The owner family is genuinely nice to everyone. I've taken friends there and everyone loves it. Did I mention it's affordable? They also have takeout. Eating it right now... yummy. My favorite is the pulled chicken salad with avocado, but I have yet to find something I don't like.“
“Simple order, quarter white meat with plain rice. Cashier repeats that back to me. Order fulfilled was dark meat with yellow rice and veggies. Kitchen wasn’t wrong, it was rung up wrong even after repeated back to me correctly. There goes 10 mins of my lunch hour waiting for correct order that was rerung and I was charged for.“
