Allan brought out some hash while I was waiting for the rest of the food to cook. Honestly, my life flashed before my eyes. It was a dining experience that the OG Michelin stars were meant to capture. This is worth driving out of your way. The food is other worldly.
I just picked up a BBQ plate from their food truck in front of Tractor Supply in Boiling Springs. The plate included pulled pork, smoked sausage, cole slaw, potato salad, and a bun. The food was delicious! I look forward to visiting their restaurant!
Big Al's is a hidden gem! Momma D is just the sweetest little lady I ever did meet, and her whole family working there are all so nice. Her home-made old-fashion recipes (like grandma used to make), are simply the best! Her son Al is always in the kitchen cooking up her delicious foods, and he's such a nice guy, even after working so hard all day long! I haven't tasted southern food this good, since I was a kid!
