“Passing through town and had to check this place out especially for the new pinball machine “Jaws”. The BLT I had with their in house made bread was fantastic along with a wonderful beer selection. They also have many craft can beers for purchase, wish I had taken the time to check them out. Looking forward to sporting my t-shirt I purchased.“

“My husband and I ate at Higher Ground for the first time Monday. We had the fried mushrooms for an appetizer and I had the pimento cheeseburger and he had the bacon double cheeseburger and seasoned fries. The food was amazing and delicious. The waitress was attentive had a sweet personality and gave great suggestions on what to order. It was a very cool temperature inside to eat on a hot day! I highly reccomend this place! Very clean inside! We will be back!“

“Some of the best pizza i’ve ever had. Never had a bad experience here food or service wise however about 3 times now we’ve noticed one of the older employees talking down or being condescending to the younger employees. It ends up being awkward every time we go there and she’s working. I hope she isn’t in a management position and that someone else notices and speaks up.“

“Food was exceptionally good. My husband and I enjoyed our wine and the meal. Our server was very gracious and attentive. Our problem came when the bill arrived and a 18% gratuity was automatically charged. We pay tips in cash to our servers so they get them right away instead of being held for a week or two as so many places do. I requested to speak with MOD but she never came. We waited 15 minutes and upon leaving saw her out back smoking. Customers always came first for every restaurant, bar or business I worked for and with the quality of service the owner set up, that was what I expected. Very disappointing experience. BTW we tip 25-30% normally not 18, so don't put it on a check for 2 people. We had hoped to get the message to the owner for his consideration in this matter. Hopefully he reads reviews and this changes or my husband won't return.“

“We celebrated our daughter’s 40th birthday and it was enjoyable for all. We had friends of all ages and everyone had a wonderful time. The children were welcomed and it is truly family friendly. The food was great and the service was even better. Dan went above and beyond and we thank him for making LeeAnn’s birthday so special.“

“My husband and I went for their New Year's Eve celebration. Each course came out and the food was cold, the white asparagus soup especially was absolutely the worst. However, I have every intention of returning for regular dinner service to get a better, more fair assessment of the quality of food. The menu looks incredible. Beer? Fabulous. Service? Fabulous. The atmosphere? Lovely. And we had an excellent time. Unfortunately, not all dishes do well when you're trying to seat a restaurant full of people at the same time.“
