“The view can't be beat, but the food and menu could be. The food has improved in recent months, and the service is generally excellent. They have replaced the outdoor tables and some outdoor seats. They appear to be making efforts to improve food quality, including a steak actually cooked to order on our last visit (a rare event in the past). The food is still somewhat inconsistent, with half done potatoes, wildly varying versions of certain dishes from one visit to the next, and soupy salad (when dressing was requested on the side --two different visits). We appreciate the excellent service and efforts to enhance food quality, but they still can level up the kitchen. Go for the view--on a day when you're feeling lucky and flexible on your meal.”
“I had a splendid evening out with my family at El Charro Mexican restaurant. El Charro is a brother and sister owned restaurant in Irmo South Carolina. It is located in a shopping center and is right next to the shoe department store; the parking lot is tight but their is a lot of places to part. The restaurant has a large variety menu of classic Mexican food that is at a reasonable price for the quality of food you are receiving. In addition, they offer lunch prices, kids menu, dessert, appetizers, and a cocktail bar. What amazed me the most about El Charro is the variety of fajitas they offer. You can of course get the traditional fajitas but I would definitely recommend trying their other options which include: Charras, Mexican, Texanas, Hawaianas, De Camaron, Mar Y Tierra, De Mar, Vegetarians, and Mixed. All of their fajitas come with beans, tortillas, pinco de galla, rice, and cheese. Tonight I had the Hawaianas fajitas and it was to die for, but I wished there was more pineapple; I loved the spices they cook the food in. The Hawaianas fajitas come with chicken, pineapple, bell pepper, Charo, onions, and cheese. In my opinion the price was reasonable for the large portion we got. The price was $23.75 for two. All of El Charro fajitas range from $14.99 - $26.99. Furthermore, if you eat in you get fresh homemade chips and salsa free with your order. If you like spicy ask for the extra spicy hot sauce they other because it will definitely make you turn red in the face. When walking in you will feel like you transported into Mexico. El Charro has colorful walls, banners, Mexican music playing, and authentic wall decorations that match the atmosphere. In addition the place was spotless with no dirt in sight. The service was very friendly and polite. Our waiter was attentive and very friendly to us. Lastly, if you are hungry and trying to figure out where to go to dinner, I would definitely recommend going to El Charro because I will definitely coming back in the future.”
“I was finally able to catch this place! They were off Bull Street one day for lunch. I went a little bit before lunch was over, so I expected a lot to be out. However, it wasn't bad. Customer service was good, and the gentleman and lady that were working the truck were very nice and straightforward. So their lunch menu is different from their dinner menu. I ordered the pork plate, ribs, baked beans, and fries. That plate also came with my choice of barbecue sauce. I don't know where to start. The beans maybe? They were so delicious! The ribs were on point. The pork was tasty too. It accompanied the barbecue sauce very well. The fries were standard. I can't wait to catch them for dinner, either in Irmo or Blythewood, to try their macaroni and cheese and to reunite with those beans.”
“Lucky's Burger Shack is a dive bar in Irmo with GREAT PRICES SERVICE, and BEST BURGERS IN TOWN. On certain days, I just need a Bud Lights vs. a micro brew. Try $2.25 each . Coming from Dallas TX, I haven't seen a beer price like this in 10 years. There are 15 person indoor bar and outside bar/entertainment area as well. Dogs are welcomed on the patio. Next was the Philly loaded and Lucky Burger. A real 6 oz burger and hand cut fries or tater tots for less than $10. They also have a 12 oz burger version for $13. All of the food is southern and damn good. The wait staff is VERY friendly and wouldn't stop asking how I could be served. 1st time in this location and won't be my last. More pics coming!!!”
“We love this little restaurant! The nicest people run it and the food is amazing. I highly recommend the bread pudding. It comes out warm and the ice cream is homemade!”
“Friendly bartender named Matt took amazing care of us all night and wasnt rude when they were closing and we were still there. He allowed us to finish our drinks and we realized they were closed so we quickly left but he was as sweet as pie and never let our empty glasses go without a quick nod of approval, he quickly refilled them. Excellent service!!! Gotta love a bartender that introduces themselves to you right when you sit down at the bar.Parking: Entire parking lot right in front of establishment.”
“Service and food here is great. My only complaint is be prepared to add salt and pepper to your grits. This applies to grits bowls such as the shrimp and grits bowl.”
“Groucho'a does not disappoint ! I use the mobile app. They usually make your food as soon as you arrive for pickup to ensure it is fresh. I have never had a bad sandwich or Salad. Nice quiet cafe with anything from couples, friend groups, families to larger lunch groups. Staff is super nice and service is usually fast. Would highly recommend!”
“I had an outstanding experience at Craft and Draft Irmo! The staff's hospitality and friendliness made my visit truly enjoyable. The kitchen offers delicious options, and the beer selection is amazing. They even provide great craft recommendations if you're a fan of Bud Light. A 5-star gem for sure.Parking: Plenty of parking”
“Excellent customer service ALWAYS! :) They are always so patient no matter how indecisive you may be! Cupcakes are always moist and delicious. I haven’t had a bad experience yet!”
“This is one of mine and my wife’s favorite establishments in the Irmo/Columbia area. Food is always prepared perfectly, ambiance is casual and pleasant, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming.”
“We miss our Tex Mex, so we came here after seeing it as we drove into town. The staff was friendly and seated us quickly - food was good - I had steak fajitas and my husband had the burrito and side taco. Plenty of food. The queso had good flavor, still a little runnier than we're used to. Guacamole was good. We noticed a manager was keeping tabs on the staff - ensured prompt service! Veggies in salad were fresh - I can't stand brown lettuce that no one would serve to their mother being served to me! Looking forward to being out on the patio in warmer weather.”
“We went for lunch. We were seated right away. The waiter was attentive and got our food out right away. All of the meals were served hot. The food was good. We all enjoyed everything we ordered.”
“Food was tasty, and we got a lot of food for the value. Service was on point! As soon as we got there we were guided to our table, given chips and salsa, and given our drinks within 2 minutes. The food came out fast. The staff is lively, friendly, and fast. The music spanned across multiple genres, from Mariachi to EDM. The only thing I should mention is that one of the ladies in our party said the ladies room was messy, but we had not noticed anything in the gentlemen’s room.”
“We were visiting Columbia and wanted to stop somewhere with some homemade burgers. We stopped here, and it was worth it. The people were friendly, the food was freshly made and the taste was amazing. The burgers were definitely homemade. Reminds me of a mom n pops spot back home.”
