“The view can't be beat, but the food and menu could be. The food has improved in recent months, and the service is generally excellent. They have replaced the outdoor tables and some outdoor seats. They appear to be making efforts to improve food quality, including a steak actually cooked to order on our last visit (a rare event in the past). The food is still somewhat inconsistent, with half done potatoes, wildly varying versions of certain dishes from one visit to the next, and soupy salad (when dressing was requested on the side --two different visits). We appreciate the excellent service and efforts to enhance food quality, but they still can level up the kitchen. Go for the view--on a day when you're feeling lucky and flexible on your meal.“
“This what Irmo needed BQ restaurant with fast and delicious food. I ORDER the BQ platter Roy suggested combo add on ribs for just $5 dollars the food came right up the portions was nice size and it was hot ? and it was delicious I wished I would took a picture first but I was hungry. SO YES Give Roy Grillie a try u will not regret “
“I had an outstanding experience at Craft and Draft Irmo! The staff's hospitality and friendliness made my visit truly enjoyable. The kitchen offers delicious options, and the beer selection is amazing. They even provide great craft recommendations if you're a fan of Bud Light. A 5-star gem for sure.Parking: Plenty of parking“
“A friendly, eclectic, and interesting clientele, ranging from ex-athletes; business owners; alluring femme fatales; showbiz folks; rich guys; and down-to-earth, pretty pool playing gals. There's a surprisingly wide libation selection for an establishment that has probably the best prices in the Columbia, SC area. I enjoy the wine and occasionally a Guinness! The bar "maids" provide a "room with a view" and always look out for regulars and new patrons alike. Restrooms are clean, the area safe, close parking is plentiful, five sports tv screens, free wifi, and the jukebox is just right. Sometimes there's comedy or live music or a dj. Try it... you'll like it!“
“My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our meal at The Bistro. We were in town for one night and this was the perfect choice. The food was excellent and the ambiance was beautiful. They had a wonderful jazz band and romantic lighting. If we are ever back in town we will definitely return!“
“One of the nicest times my partner and I have had at Waffle House, and that's saying something (we frequently eat at Waffle Houses and usually have a pleasant time). Our server Darcy made our time at this location special, though. The cook was on point too. If I could I would rate even higher, I cannot speak highly enough.Dietary restrictions: I have Celiac disease and I have found Waffle House in general to be a bastion for late night gluten free eats.“
“Was taken here by a friend and the food was ok. I had the country fried steak green beans and grilled vegetables and mashed potatoes with gravy. The steak was ok. Tbh I’ve had better at Cracker Barrel. The green beans seemed like they came from a can and the grilled vegetables were like the kind from a frozen bag with grill marks. The mashed potatoes were good. Nothing special. Had this campsite cafeteria feel to the place. Meh.“
“We stopped there to have dinner on our return trip to TN from FL. This was our second visit and I was surprised that we were the only overnight RV travelers. Food was tasty and the service was great, too. Clearly marked signs for RV parking is a huge bonus!“
“Great food. I highly recommend the taco salad. Ashleigh was so friendly and attentive with a party of 18. This was my first time visiting. Definitely coming back!Vegetarian options: Fried zucchini is deliciousParking: Right off the highway. Easy to find“
“When we first arrived the wait was 20min and then a cook decided to quit! The manager Belinda was on top of it all and she responded to our concern appropriately after our wait time jumped to an hour! We were seated shortly after more staff arrived and Maddie made our evening that much better with her spot on service!!!Parking: Big parking lot!“
“The experience feels intimate, the talent on stage have always been good, service is intentional... so you will be taken care of. You should go!Parking: Get there early to park in their parking lot. There other lots free to park in but parking by the building will be difficult if you get there 20 min after the doors open.“
“Good food, all around really good food but.... for some reason they don't have sourdough toast. I ask for it every time, you'd think after 6 months of asking they'd figure out people really do like SOURDOUGH toast. That's my only complaint. Good portions and really good food.“
“When you walk in, you are greeted warmly. We unfortunately missed lunch but were given a few options for what we could have. We both chose hot dogs all the way, two each. The food is incredible! I can't complain at all. The food was the best dive kind of food I've ever had.Service is exceptional, friendly, and prompt. I enjoyed the cook's company the whole time we were in there.Atmosphere was good, I felt like I stepped back in time to a retro diner. It's a bit outdated, but we loved the feel of the place. You should try this restaurant, but go during lunch hours! Amazing food and service. Google Maps may get you a little lost. It's in the same parking lot as the gas station, in the corner.“
“Carolina Buffet is a country cooking paradise where everyone can enjoy a great meal. As soon as you walk in, you'll be met with friendly faces and the delicious smell of home-cooked food. The buffet is truly amazing, with a wide range of classic Southern comfort foods as well as tasty dishes from around the world. There is food for everyone, whether you want fried chicken, BBQ ribs, or fresh fish. The food is always hot, fresh, and given with a smile. It's a great place to get together with family and friends because it's cozy and the staff is helpful. Carolina Buffet is the place to go for a hearty meal that makes you feel like you're at home.“
“The food was okay taste wise. It was hot when it came out and the staff was very patient and kind. They stayed on top of everything with our table checking on us often. It was a nice quiet place to grab some food. The service was great and just because of that I would recommend it. Nothing wrong with the food it was just a little bland.“
“Great food and atmosphere. Shrimp and grits and crayfish etouffee was soooo good and the portions were huge. We both had enough for dinner the next day. Have been there several times and each time we are impressed. Reasonable prices. We will be back!“
“I'd heard good things about their menu and decided to take my teens for dinner since other plans fell through. The bar was full when we arrived a little after 7, we took 2 tables near the bar, no hostess or server. A bartender came over to take our order, sweet tea was unsweetened, replaced with soda. Several employees (I assume bc the owner was passing out tax documents to them) seemed to be hanging at the bar, not sure if they were on the clock or not... took over an hour for food to arrive, many to go orders ahead of us apparently. Appetizer came out with the meal (personal pet peeve), but everything except for one sandwich was hot and fresh. Loved the app sampler and fries, my drink was well made and strong, however I really wanted the food to be better. Mac and cheese looked amazing, but there was a strange flavor that kind of got caught in your throat, wraps were ok, limp lettuce too much dressing. Atmosphere was fun, good music, lots of games, I'll definitely come back just for drinks with the adults. I wish they'd had one dedicated server for the night (although I understand it was a quiet Tuesday) to lend a hand running food and whatnot. Full disclosure, the owner is kinda sorta family (lol divorced his nephew), so I wanted to love it but felt meh instead.“
“Laid back craft beer pub on Main St. offering interesting twists on food. We split a Beef Panini on this stop. The crunchy housemade Focaccia bread makes the sandwich. You can't go wrong with any of their fresh bakery items. Rotating draft beer selection. Ultra friendly staff that regularly checks on you.“
“A cozy atmosphere that greets you even before you enter the building in the form of 3 friendly cats. It feels more like a home than a restaurant with the staff as a family that tends to your dietary needs. The owner Emmi went out of her way to prepare the nachos I ordered vegetarian style for me and the greek spinach wrap was incredible. Local spots like this make me feel welcome after moving down south“
“The swordfish was phenomenal! And I am not known for raving over food. The portions are not huge, but that means I didn't leave feeling stuffed. If I'd left right then I would've been thrilled, but I had the turtle cheesecake for dessert and it was at best okay. I would've preferred to have left with the memory of the swordfish. But the service was good. 2 people for dinner was $100 so it's not the cheapest option out there, but I would - and will - go back.Parking: Limited street parking but there is a free public parking garage across the street“
“First time visiting and we will be back! They were very busy but our server Mary made it seem like we were her only customers. She was fantastic! Food was delicious and you could tell it was made with love. Food also came out fast despite the crowd.“
“Wowza! This place served up a grilled chicken sandwich that rocked my taste buds like a concert! Paired it with a diet coke because, you know, gotta watch that figure while indulging in deliciousness. The sandwich was so juicy, it had me questioning if chickens secretly moonlight as magicians. And the coke? Well, it fizzed and danced like it was auditioning for a soda commercial. But seriously, folks, this joint knows how to do food right. The ambiance was cozy, the staff was as friendly as a litter of golden retriever puppies, and the whole experience left me grinning like a Cheshire cat.In conclusion, if I could, I'd eat here every single day without hesitation. Do yourself a flavor and swing by for a grilled chicken sandwich extravaganza! Five stars !!!“
“This was my first time ordering food from this restaurant and I absolutely enjoyed it! I had the Philly cheesesteak combo and it seriously was one of the best Philly cheesesteak’s that I’ve had in Columbia! They were extremely busy with pick up, to-go, and door dash orders so the wait was a little longer than intended but it was definitely worth it! I highly recommend!“
“Never had a bad experience - quality food and quality people. Mind bendingly consistent with their food - hard to do for any restaurant - and they set the standard. Been dining w Groucho's for well over a decade. Keep it real in da field.“
“Y'all, when I say this is the best burger joint arguably in all of South Carolina, I am not joking. I would put this up to any burger in this state. Forget Pawleys Porch. Forget Five Guys. This place is phenomenal. Food is cooked to order. Starting from the top the SBA (soft bun action) is perfect. A good soft bun, but not one that breaks apart with the condiments added on or fresh ingredients. That leads me to my next ingredient. The tomato's, lettuce, onions, pickles, all of the toppings are crazy fresh. Tastes like they just picked them out the garden and sliced them right away. Next the meat. The absolutely best flavored, seasoned, juicy, charred, cut of meat I can think of putting in my mouth. It's not just salt and pepper and thrown on a flat top. Has spice, but not too much, has perfect taste, excellent temperature not undercooked not over cooked. Steve knows his beef burgers, take my word for it. Next the price for a burger with a side and a drink is absolutely insane compared to other places in this inflated 2024 year. I fed myself and my wife, and 2 children for next to nothing price wise. I would've had to take out a loan to get all of this at Five Guys. Now I have to ding them on 2 things. The crinkle cut fries are OK, not good not bad, kinda mid. But the biggest thing I think would take this spot to the next level is if they had DUKE'S MAYO!! They only have packets of Monarch mayo. Everyone knows in the south Duke's is the way and the only way. I would even settle for Hellmann's mayo over Monarch. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ADD DUKE'S MAYO TO THIS RESTAURANT!!!!! Alas, even if they don't heed my word, the burger meat speaks so much for itself, it drowns out the tasteless Monarch mayo. Other than that don't change anything about this place. I will literally go out of my way (I live 45 mins away one way from this establishment) every time I am craving a burger. Maybe in the mean time I will sneak in a bottle of Duke's in my pocket. I will gladly give my hard earned money to these fine, nice, polite people. SUPPORT LOCAL!!!!!! Oh and a bonus is there is an ice cream store attached to this spot, and it's just as great, but that will be it's own separate review.**UPDATE/REVISED**Went back there today with proper Duke's mayonnaise, and I can't ding this guy for the condiments he chooses. The burger meat, buns and toppings speak for themselves period point blank as well as the prices. I would maybe do things different with the condiments if this was my establishment, but I can't judge or ding him for it. Got the tater tots this time, and very much enjoyed those over the fries.Side note, I like that he puts his faith out there, with the Bibles and themes, and people need to stop mocking him or judging him based off this. What a society we now live in that feels justified in coming at this man in his own establishment for his religion and beliefs. Shame on each and every one of you. Just shows how much we have gone down as a country, as none of this would've happened 20 to 30 years ago. I am 37 years old, not big on religion or going to church, but I do believe there is a God, one God, and everyone is going to face Him after this life.Keep doing what you are doing at this place of business and may God bless this man, establishment, and employees. Perfect score across the board 10/10. A++!!“
“If I could give 10 stars I would. Have Waffle House a second chance and decided to try this location out I was not disappointed at all! Everything was awesome!! Will definitely be coming back to this location only! Thank you Beck for your awesome and amazing service!!!“
“So far it's been great. Ordered their fried whiting (9/10)with fries(7/10) and the seasoning on the whiting was pretty good. I do feel they should include more fries with the order, however for the price it was a steal. The fish comes with your standard run of the mill roll (5/10). their macaron (8/10)i is pretty good as well. Ordered through DoorDash“
“We love the prime rib on Thursday nights but it's a hit or miss if it's tough or not, somwtimes its melt on your mouth so good and sometimes it has lots of tough parst where its hard to cut. You get plenty of food for your money. They have amazing burgers.“
“Food is always excellent. Had a few issues. Like asking for a fork several times to no avail. Had to go ask someone for a fork. Also. Ordered Baked Potato w/ butter .sour creamInstead was brought 2 butters. So at that point. Was throughly disgusted.Just wanted to eat what we had and leave.“
“Absolutely the best breakfast spot around! We had THE best service ever! The BEST breakfast we've had in a long while, and it was such an affordable place to go with our 2 children!!Kid-friendliness: Extremely kid friendly with a very good menu for them, too!“
“Awesome place. Historical, lots of great atmosphere. Service was fantastic. Dog friendly on the gorgeous patio. Food is delicious and fresh. Definitely recommend for anyone who enjoys niche history restaurants and great beer.Kid-friendliness: Decent kids menu and lots of options. Good portion sizes.“
“Don’t have pictures, but this seafood restaurant, by far, has the best seafood in Columbia! It’s a family owned business with the best staff and the food always comes out hot and fresh. I’ve tried several different plates but my favorite is the salt and pepper catfish! I take my mother with me and she says it’s her favorite place as well. The building is the old Pizza Inn from waaay back (memories) and they’ve done a great job making it look like the old style fish camps. You gotta try it! You’ll enjoy it. I always see repeat customers when I go there.“
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Zestos, a family owned comfort food restaurant in Columbia, SC, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a cozy atmosphere. The walls were adorned with photos of the Zestos family, giving the restaurant a personal and welcoming touch. The staff was incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home. Now let's talk about the food. The menu offered a variety of classic comfort food options, from burgers and fries to fried chicken and mac and cheese. I opted for the fried chicken and was blown away by how perfectly crispy and flavorful it was. The portion size was generous and I could tell it was made with love and care. The mac and cheese was also a standout, with its creamy and cheesy goodness. But what really stood out to me was the attention to detail in every dish. The food was not only delicious, but it was also presented beautifully. It was clear that the Zestos family takes pride in their food and wants to ensure that every customer has a memorable dining experience. To top it all off, the prices at Zestos were incredibly reasonable, making it the perfect spot for a family meal or a casual lunch with friends. And let's not forget about their famous ice cream. I couldn't resist trying their homemade chocolate milkshake and it did not disappoint. It was the perfect ending to a delicious meal.Overall, I highly recommend Zestos to anyone looking for a taste of authentic, family owned comfort food in Columbia, SC. The warm atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food make it a must-try for anyone in the area. I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu items.“
“Tried shrimp and grits omelette and shrimp and grits bowl on two separate occasions at Devine Street location. Both were good. Ordered online and picked up both times. Order was correct and hot. Good brunch spot. Similar to Another Broken Egg as far as the menu.Parking: I went on Sunday when the other businesses they share the parking lot with were closed so parking wasn’t an issue.“
“We had the most amazing experience at the restaurant, all thanks to our wonderful waitress Jacqui. Her warm and friendly demeanor instantly put us at ease and she went above and beyond to ensure that our family had a great time. She anticipated all our needs and catered to them with a smile, making sure we were all satisfied with our meals. Jacqui's exceptional service made our dining experience all the more enjoyable and we have already decided that she will be the only waitress we want for our next visit. Thank you, Jacqui, for making our time at the restaurant truly special! “
“I love mostly everything about this place. It's a true gem! My only problem was the smell of the bathroom. It wasn't stink, you just could tell it was the bathroom and I'm not a fan of smelling the bathroom around my food, lol! Im sure this can be adjusted based on where you sit in the restaurant. Outside of that, everything else was 5 star in my opinion. I found this place on yelp after searching for a place to celebrate my young child's birthday. I loved that it had kid friendly food as well as adult comfort meals. The food reminded me of diner food, something your Grandma would cook. Nothing too fancy, but they got options ranging from steak, fried or baked options, and veggie and gluten free options. We came in the middle of the week and at times, my child had the entire arcade to himself. He felt like a VIP especially since it was his birthday, lololol! $20.00 took us a long was in the arcade. I was tired, but of course my kids had a ball LOL! The staff singed "happy birthday" and gave a cookie with a candle in it. Super sweet! Thanks for making my child's birthday special!“
“We are regulars at least once a week . Justin and the staff continue to amaze us with new delicious dishes and drink offerings . I only eat fish and understand the challenges it can present preparing but the fish is always fantastic even though I'm dining at a steak house . We have never had a bad meal there since the opening . I encourage all to take a trip slightly off the beaten path for a wonderful dining experience.“
“Hopping breakfast/lunch joint in a cool little building in a quaint section of west Columbia. Fast and friendly service, serve yourself coffee bar, and really good food. The brisket omelet I had was one of the best omelets I've ever had. We will definitely be back!“
“My favorite place for lunch. I usually get the fried chicken basket but the burger and chicken sandwich baskets are good too. This particular location has a sweet senior citizen who comes around and refills tea and collects trash. Great place!“

“It’s been a while since we’ve come across delicious, large, well done, multiple sauce option, affordable wings. This place is absolutely worth a visit.Tots, deep fried pickles and wings are a cant miss. It’s a big positive for us, maybe not for others but - this place should be classified as a dive bar. Reminds me of my old Wisconsin haunts. But it’s loud, friendly, affordable, and wonderful.Enjoy!“
“One of the best restaurants in the area. They have helped make Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner a painless process for my family for the past several years. The staff is great and always nice and professional. The food is beyond amazing.“
“Took my daughter here for her birthday. The waitress was wonderful, she kept refills coming, very knowledgeable of the menu. The venue was plentiful, so much to choose from, a quick take out or sit down for a family dinner. Then there's 3 pool tables in another area with a bar. I know many would think it's one of those bar scene places, I'm telling you your going to be surprised at the way they have it divided up, you'll have to look for the bar side. We seen many elderly couples, middle age couples and young families. The food was fantastic, the prices were not high like you think either.“
“IHOP offers a delightful dining experience with its cozy atmosphere and a menu that caters to a variety of tastes. The food quality surpasses local diners, with well-seasoned dishes that often require no additional salt[1]. The pancakes are a standout, offering a rich, buttery flavor that's not too sweet, complemented by a variety of syrups[2]. While some items like the bacon may not always meet expectations, the overall value and taste make IHOP a solid choice for a family breakfast outing“
“We have been going here for years and Crystal and the gang have the best staff! The food is fast and hot and delicious. Best omelette anywhere hands down. The Texas Cheesesteak Bowl is the bomb! Ask for Crystal as your waitress - although they are all great!“
“Came here for a nice breakfast and it exceeded my expectations. I got the cookie dough waffle and it was amazing, definitely will be coming back to get it again. My waitress was Hope and she was amazing! Great service and she was very attentive to my needs. Overall nice atmosphere and staff. Will be coming back.“
“Love the food!!! Food has definitely gotten better than what it was for a while. Service was great even though it was busy! Reasonable prices. *added 03/02/24 - If you become a regular customer, the wait staff will remember you and your usuals that you always order each time you come in!!! Love the ladies that make that extra effort!*“
“We got there around 8 on Saturday when they opened. The atmosphere was laid back at first, then around 10ish the dj comes. Our host Asia was bomb, very attentive and answered any questions we had. Great service from her! She even took the mint flavor out of our hookah. The food was sooo good, we got wings and hibachi. The drinks were good as well. We stayed until about 11 and it seems that's when it starts to get packed. We just came to eat, lounge & vibe so get there early but if you want to turn up turn up, get there later!“
“Omg.... The district manager Michael Duncan is one of the absolute greatest men I've ever met.... Wonderful person to work for... Such a kind and protective ❤️ heart... He's there for you as a guest and a manager.... He cares about his restaurants and he should most definitely have a higher position in the company.... They are very blessed to have him and I was very blessed to work for such an amazing King.... Thank you...“
“We were visiting Columbia and wanted to stop somewhere with some homemade burgers. We stopped here, and it was worth it. The people were friendly, the food was freshly made and the taste was amazing. The burgers were definitely homemade. Reminds me of a mom n pops spot back home.“
