Anytime my husband and I get a chance for a date night George Roberts is always our go to spot. The food is always delicious and we love the drink specials (Rachel is fabulous)! We love seafood so finding a spot with elevated options so close to home is awesome!

My husband and I tried George’s Oyster Bar last weekend and it was simply amazing. The oysters tasted fresh and the server we had was extremely attentive to our needs. Would recommend this place to anyone and will return again!

Excellent! Our server, Tera, made suggestions and took great care of us. Our surf and turf was perfectly prepared and so delicious. We splurged and split a cheesecake dessert that was heavenly!
It was a nice evening so we chose to dine outside on the patio. My margaritas were so good.

On Monday, July 28th I was in town visiting my parents in SC and unfortunately, I had a negative experience at this raw seafood bar. While the atmosphere and presentation were appealing, I became severely ill shortly after dining—experiencing symptoms consistent with food poisoning. I ate raw items including oysters and tuna tartare and while others in my party were fine, I would urge caution when ordering raw seafood here. Disappointed and hoping the restaurant addresses food safety more seriously.

We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary at George Robert’s Wine & Raw Bar, and it was unforgettable. This was our first visit, and we were blown away from the moment we walked in. We started with the crab dip, which was absolutely incredible—rich, flavorful, and the perfect way to kick off the meal. I had the special with truffle scallops, and it was nothing short of divine. Perfectly seared, melt-in-your-mouth scallops with just the right touch of truffle. My husband had the ahi tuna salad, which was fresh, vibrant, and beautifully plated. The cocktails were another highlight—I went for spicy tequila drinks, and they were bold, balanced, and bursting with flavor. Original and expertly made—exactly what I was hoping for. Between the fresh seafood, the standout cocktails, and the upscale yet welcoming atmosphere, George Robert’s made our special night even more memorable. It’s safe to say we’ve found a new favorite.

First of all I love this place, it takes me an hour to get there specifically for raw oysters. The reason for the 1 star on food, I got seriously sick 2 days ago from the oysters to the point that it was hard to make it home. This is the first time it's happened, with that being said the service, atmosphere, and staff are awesome. This happened on July 14th Monday 2025. I hope that I was the only one, but I'll never eat raw oysters again, shame because I love them. I am still recovering and hope I can make it to work sometime this week after losing 2 days. This turned out to be a very expensive meal.

Stopped in on a Tuesday evening, great experience. Wasn’t crowded, however very upbeat atmosphere and several patrons enjoying both the bar and restaurant. Great set up, service and food. Four of us had a great time and very good dinner. Only took a couple of drinks pics, however the presentation was just as good as the food and our server was super nice and very attentive!

Got there at 4:30 but it filled up by 5. Bar was full. Absolutely great fresh food. 2 specials ordered - crab nachos & tilefish crude. Fresh and flavorful but light. Ordered the prosciutto pizza as entree..delicious with a sweet base, arugula and balsamic drizzle. Prices very reasonable based on living in Charleston recently. The hot peachy margarita was spicy& different. Fresh juices.
Great service by Taylor. Very attentive.
Highly recommend.

We have heard people talk about this restaurant for some time, but we were unable to go there for one reason or another. So, my husband and I decided to go on a whim on a Friday night. We were glad we did. The staff was excellent! We sat outside and waited for our table to be ready. It was a lovely atmosphere. We ordered food to share. We had scallops with risotto, beef tacos, and brisket tacos. All Three were absolutely delicious. It was a wonderful experience. We will definitely go back. We are so glad to have an upscale foodie restaurant in Irmo.
