Stopped at this gas station and noticed a couple guys hanging out around a big smoker with delicious smells in the air, and was told they've got a restaurant inside and I checked it out.Originally intended to get BBQ, but its Friday and they had a special advertised for a fried fish and shrimp platter for $11, and I love seafood so I got that this time. Everything was fried fresh to order, very delicious and very generous portion for the price paid. The only complaint is that the cocktail and tartar sauces they gave me were cheap Monarch fast food packets which were not the best quality, but the food itself is GREAT and I'll definitely come back for the barbecue!UPDATE 4/22/23- Came back for the barbecue today, and had to leave a full 5 stars because the MEATS are THAT GOOD. Contender for best BBQ in Columbia I think. In particular, I am from Texas where smoked brisket is king, and I have NEVER had better brisket in South Carolina than this place has. Its juicy and tender and super smokey with a nice bark and smoke ring just as it should be. Definitely a must try if you're a fan of the cow. The pulled pork and smoked chicken are also fantastic, and the hash and rice as well as fried okra were great too. Honestly I found my new go-to favorite BBQ joint locally. Highly recommended. Don't expect atmosphere, its in a gas station. Expect high quality slow smoked meats, and you won't be disappointed.Thank you for a surprisingly good experience. For anyone trying to find it, the restaurant is really a stand inside the Sub Station II area of the "Royal Farm Irmo" gas station and its well worth a stop.

These guys are legit. Great brisket. No sauce needed but their Carolina Gold is just so incredible you want to put it on. Collards excellent. And the daughter's Pineapple pudding is to die for. Everything I had was just so good.

Food gets 5 stars but service gets 1 star. Dont go here if you're in a hurry. Took me 40 minutes to get a lb of bbq. If you pay w a debit card you have to manually enter the info off your card into the card reader...WTH?? Think ill be going to Roys Grill when they open up.
