Sun Ming Chinese Restaurant

Originally from MA we missed having really good Chinese food. We live about an hour away, but will travel st least once a month to Sun Ming for dinner. Very good food and service.

Eaten here several times but tonight will be the last. First soup, cold and the waiter just took it back. Didn’t even attempt to heat it. Next spare ribs, cool and stringy. Shrimp toast, greasy. Egg roll was ok…but who cares at this point. Pork and broccoli was hot but much more broccoli then pork. Eat here at your own risk!

I was excited about our reservation's for Aug 10. l I ordered the beef brisket in a pot. It was terrible each piece I picked up was all fat and gristle and it was tough. I brought to the attention of the waiter he said management would give a 10% discount off of a $19.00 dollar dish. I expressed that was not acceptable. The manger said that is how it comes and I asked would she eat fat she said yes. What should have happened, management should have offered provision for another dish. I would not have paid but my husband is a kind soul. Perhaps I should have stuck to an Asian dish. DO NOT ORDER BEEF BRISKET. And no I do not intend to go back. I'll stick to Chinese buffets

My husband and I enjoyed our visit at Sun Ming Chinese Restaurant. We were seated right away and received drinks quickly after. Our food was fast, fresh, and hit the spot. We tried a few different items, sesame chicken, szechuan beef, boneless chicken, sweet n sour chicken, terriyaki chicken on a stick, chicken wings, and wonton soup and had a lot to take home to the kids. Portions are great! We will be back!

Nothing bad to say about this restaurant. Except the prices are high. The food is great and the service is also great.

Some of their food is tasty but my experience was terrible. I ordered two orders to go for $34 and one was Scallion beef. I got so much scallion that it looked like a spinach dish. I had to take a picture. I called and the lady refused to make it right and only offered 10% off on the next visit. They do not care and neither should we about their establishment.

Staff is always friendly and polite. The hot mustard is made in house if you eat in. Nest Chinese restaurant in Columbia by far. Worth it to make a trip here and dine in.

This is my go to spot. Everything is always fresh and from day to day the flavors are the same. The wings are the only breaded wings that I like and the fried rice is always good. I enjoy the pork minus the bbq sauce appetizer, egg rolls, chicken & green beans, and wonton soup. I've never had a dish I didn't like here.

Good take-out..not cheap but good quality. Strong recommendation on the MuShu Chicken. Very good!

The food was amazing! Only sit down restaurant that we know of in Columbia SC with great tasting food. Did not taste like the cheap fast food Chinese restaurants. Service was really good and very quick.
