Tavern is the best! The best staff the bartender is amazing and the food is always great! We never order dessert anywhere but we always do here! We haven’t had Beef Wellington in years so the. valentines special was as great as we hoped!

After standing at the unstaffed hostess desk for 5 full minutes, the overwhelmed hostess had no record of a reservation I had made that afternoon. A manager came up and said there was no record, that they operated on first come/first serve basis and we'd have to wait an hour for a table. Disorganized and rude. We left.

First, my first time visiting here took the family for dinner. Aubrey, the hostess was more than accommodating. Appetizers were good, cowboy candy on the pimento cheese is a must get. Cocktails a little on the sweet side, had to order a bourbon neat to cut down the sugar in my specially old fashioned. Entrees are good, especially the chicken Vera. I got the shrimp and Alabama ribs, shrimp were good, ribs were quite a bit overdone.
It was my first time trying Tavern last night, and I loved it. Good food, good vibes, and great service. Bryce was our server, and he did an amazing job.

This was the first time my husband and I came here and we sat at the bar. The staff were awesome and so helpful, drinks were great and food was 10/10. We started with the Lava shrimp and we loved it so much! My husband had the black and blue pasta (and loved it), I had the chicken vera and it was so creamy!
It was a great experience: the food, the drinks and the desserts. The service was on top, very attendant, liked the suggestions, explained very well the composition of the entrees and was keeping an eye on us, asking us if we needed something. Thanks MIchelle for your suggestion of pineapple bread with ice cream. The patio is nicely adapted to have fun in the evenings and tranquile coffees in the afternoon. Looking forward to have a date again with my wife, this time on a Wednesday , so we can enjoy the live music.

I had my hopes up for a great experience. My wife and I arrived at 5pm. The hostess stated she can give us a table, but we would need to leave by 7pm. This to me is not a good foot forward as to give an ultimatum. One could say sure, but it depends on how fast you can serve me. My wife ordered the Alabama ribs with fried shrimp and I ordered a NY sirloin. The waitress was great and we were served shortly afterwards. My NY sirloin was cooked properly (definitely a plus), although it was a small portion for the $30 charge. I’ve had larger portions for less at other restaurants. This is where it went downhill as my wife’s meal was disappointing. The ribs were very overcooked and hard, except for the 1 rib, which was very fatty. The shrimp also was overcooked (hard) and the oil in which it was fried in was old. Very disappointed for $25. At this point we shared my small steak, as she couldn’t eat hers. A positive was the French fries were good. I had high hopes for a good meal, but were left disappointed. My wife and I aren’t the type to make a big deal there, but even if the meal was refunded it wouldn’t make a difference. Sadly, a cook can make or break a restaurant, along with the hostess.

The atmosphere outside was cozy and beautiful, the service was excellent and fast and the prices were very reasonable however! Putting the large round 10 person table in that setting is a bad idea. The people yelling across that huge table created so much noise that I couldn't hear what my date was saying sitting 2 feet from me. IT WAS SO LOUD!!! I will never waste my time or my money at this establishment again.
