Papa's Kitchen Reviews
Went to visit Papa's Kitchen for the first time today! It was a cute little "hole in the wall" restaurant, which is something I absolutely LOVE! They had specials on a board featuring several options including a hot bar and many side choices. I chose the Sweet Heart Shrimp Wrap Special with Mac N Cheese and my Husband chose the Chilli Cheeseburger Special with Mac N Cheese. The food was DELICIOUS!!!! Also got the coffee which was so good as well (good coffee is so hard to find...read full review
Been awhile since we ate there, but have ordered out couple times. Ordered 2 cheeseburgers with hand cut fries. Burgers were over cooked meaning hard. Chicken basket tasted like old chicken tenders or cooked in old grease. Very disappointing. 32dollars wasted
Good food, friendly service!

Papa's Kitchen is a great stop for a delicious meal. The restaurant serves fresh and hot food, including tasty BLTs, fried chicken, and pork chops, all at a reasonable price. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is clean and simple, making it a great spot for a quick lunch or dinner. The place aims to serve delicious and filling food, exemplifying "down home" southern hospitality and cuisine. The hot bar is especially popular, with fried chicken (dark meat) with Mac n cheese and fried okra being highly praised. Visitors often enjoy breakfast or lunch here, especially if working at SRS, and it’s a fun place for out-of-town guests to experience "real" South Carolina food. Service matches the quality of the food, with staff like Crystal and Jasmine always friendly. Desserts, especially cakes, are a specialty with different flavors available regularly, so there’s always something new to try. Papa's Kitchen can get busy quickly, so arriving early is recommended. Overall, it’s a cozy, no-frills spot that offers satisfying southern cooking, perfect for those craving a hearty meal and good hospitality.
