We were visiting South Carolina from the Philadelphia area and accidentally stumbled across this sandwich shop. We did not expect to walk into Philadelphia while in South Carolina. The Italian hoagie here was better than any sandwich I’ve had in Pennsylvania. The customer service was Fantastic! If you’re visiting the Charleston area this place is a must!

Walked in while at a repair shop and ordered the famous Italian hoagie. Being a very picky eater from the north , I didn’t get my hopes up. But that sandwich was amazing. I didn’t even have to add mayo to it. Everything on the sandwich was fresh, it was almost like the sandwich melted in your mouth with the first bite! Will definitely be coming back!

Stopped by yesterday on the way to pick up my daughter from school. The owner wasn't kidding when he said how good his sandwiches were! Probably the best cheese steak I've had in this area. I'll definitely be returning!

Best sandwich I’ve had in 6 months of being in chs. Order the chicken cheese steak and Italian hoagie. It’s the real deal. Call ahead bc he only gets 150 rolls a day and sells out… yeah, it’s that good.

If you get it, you get it. If you don’t just go somewhere else because this is absolutely delectable. I’ve read some other reviews about the owner being rude or whatever but I had a great experience and let me know if you find another Italian sandwich shop owner from Philly that isn’t a bit coarse. I got the Italian and I licked the packaging after. Can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the menu. 10/10 new fav spot

I had the owner suggested $20 best seller.. I was shocked at the price, but figured if it was worth the money I was in for a treat. Well the sandwich was good but in NO WAY worth ever spending that much again. I promise (and I’m a appreciator of food) the price doesn’t translate into a mouth-gasm.. The main low star rating is the owner was a dick. If I want to be treated like an idiot I’d go to Dicks. I support local businesses, sadly I can’t endorse this place, mainly due to the fact the prices are ridiculous AND the owner is abrasive, arrogant, and lacks any customer service. Look if the food was so effin good and the price reflected it’s worth I’d be all about it, I want a local mouth watering sandwich place around James Island, and when I find it I’ll give my review. Also, maybe a part of the “charm” of a rude Philly guy is appealing to some, I’m NEVER ok with owners being douchebags to their customer! Do better bro!

Heard good things about this place, so we tried to stop by. Last night hours said open til 7.. we got there around 5 and found yall were closed.. came back today to get 3 subs to bring home with us before we left Charleston. Hours say open at 10. Arrived shortly after 10 and found locked doors.... why bother having open hours If they aren't going to be followed?

Soooo as I am not an islander but love supporting local businesses I found this place TODAY 2/13/2025 and decided to patronize, walked in waited to be recognized because the guy making the subs was the only one there to take orders as well he asked did I place an order I responded no so he asked what I wanted I said I’m not sure as I was looking at the menu and was about to tell him what I wanted he yells “I’ll call you back I’m trying to place an order.” I look at him confused and say I’m sorry what. he says I’m talking to whoever you are on the phone with. (I am a truck driver so I have my headset on!) So I advise him that I was looking at the menu, I read out loud so he probably assumed since my mouth was moving I was talking to someone, totally understandable however to be so rude and yell at me was extremely unprofessional…. So needless to say I took my dollars elsewhere….
