LOVED this place!! Stopped by for lunch after relaxing at The Springs down the road. Idaho City is a very small town of 450, and we have never been to the area before! This place has such a neat western / mining town fun vibe! The food was AMAZING. The pulled pork, Idaho tots, and Mac n cheese were so good - some of the best we've had and we've traveled a ton, including to many "BBQ capitals" in the US! There was a good sauce the waiter brought us, some sweet / spicy orange sauce that was SO good on the sandwiches in addition to the BBQ sauce. Not sure if we'll ever be back in Idaho City again, but if we ever find ourselves out here again we'll Definitely be back! Service was amazing as well!

Good job Goldmine. Did not expect this good of BBQ out here in Idaho City. Place is old school rustic but clean. It was 4:30pm on a wednesday so not a lot of people. My sandwich had a bit of every thing, the brisket was tender and tasty, pulled pork also very good, I had mac and cheese as a side creamy delious piese of bacon. May be a bit to much on the cracker topping but so what it was good. Server was friendly and efficent. Keep up the good work, we will de back. It my new place for bbq

This place is a must in Idaho City!! Food is scrumptious, staff is welcoming and the place is comfortable with sports, live entertainment, and a jukebox. If you become a regular the prices might be much after awhile but everything on the menu is fire!

Order food to go and people that arrived after us received their food way before we did. They still skipped us when we arrived and allowed other people to order before us. Not a friendly place, you don't feel welcomed.

Like everything else in Idaho City, there is so much potential for greatness that just doesn't work. The food was completely under seasoned and over cooked. Cold Drinks somehow, were hot, and the concept was just not working. And this was during the rodeo weekend when they should be trying their best to lure in visitors, and the better option across the street was closed. Had I been the owner, I would have made sure everything was on point, and worked that opportunity, but somehow that didn't happen. I actually debated about posting because I felt bad about how mediocre it was, but I just think this place could be great if they did a few simple changes, and have to say that.

We wanted to try somewhere new but Lil's Diamond Saloon was horrible. We always do Trudys so we wanted to try here and it was AWESOME! Clean,friendly staff,fun atmosphere and delicious food! I can't wait to come back for dinner!

The food was spectacular!! I was a bit skeptical due to some of the reviews for this establishment but I am so glad I ignored them. Servers were very nice and got our food and drinks out quickly. The restaurant has a cute charm that definitely screams Wild West. I had their famous Mac and cheese and it was amazing!! Family said they enjoyed their food too. The burgers and bbq were Smokey and delicious and if I come back to this town I am definitely going back.

Pulled pork nachos and Mac and cheese were fantastic. We came back the next day for the nachos again and got a burger- burger was okay. Would stick to their bbq. Great sized beer for decent prices too

Had to pay almost $20 for a burger in a place where we waited 20 minutes to get our drinks after ordering them and another over 20 to get our food... There were less than 6 customers in the restaurant, and two servers one of which was less than 13 and messed up every order in the place. The food is good but very overpriced, and service was not good.Also, there was toddler running around and in the kitchen....
the chicken strip are nothing more than chicken nuggets. for $16 I would expect real chick.and they skimmed on the fry also.

Well, the food sounded really tasty and we heard great things about this place. Sadly, after watching the server serve everyone including people that came in after us without coming to take our orders, we decided it would be better to just move along. We got a friendly reception and tasty food from the grocery store across the street.

We walked in and was told to sit anywhere. There There was only one table available with low enough chairs to accommodate my knee surgery. It had not been cleaned yet (no problem), so we moved everything to the end and the waitress took it all. She gave us menus but never came back to our table. Kept glancing at us and served everyone that came in after us. We knew better and left quietly. Not sure what we did but got a great reception next door at the grocery store!
