Always a good experience at Braised in the South. Good BBQ, nice service and a fun outdoor patio.

Went to the brick and mortar location for a take out dinner. They have a cute set up there and the lady at the window was friendly. They gave us a buzzer to know when our order was ready so we could chill in their picnic area while waiting. The food was well packaged, and delicious! I got the pork Mac and cheese. My husband got the fried chicken platter and it is SO MUCH FOOD! Highly recommend. Might have to go back myself before the end of our trip!

Loved it! Nice atmosphere, well seasoned food that is really good! I got the fried chicken sandwich and side salad and it’s all really good!

Wife and I stopped by while visiting Charleston. Food was excellent. I had some of the best collard greens ever. Service was quick. The outside eating area in nice also. We are from RI but came looking for them because we saw them on the great food truck race some years back.

My husband disliked the beans but liked his pulled-pork sandwich. I like their food. I wish they were open on weekends.

Nice to have the outdoor meal underneath the tree canopy. Great food and friendly staff! We will be back the next time we are on John’s Island.

Absolutely abhorrent staff. This is an outside establishment. We came with our dog, and the girl working the window greeted him and commented on how cute he was. She then proceeded to take our orders, waited until we ordered 5 meals with drinks and paid for all our food, and once food came out and we started eating she came back to the picnic area and said she "forgot" to tell us that dogs aren't allowed and we had to leave. Convenient after she took our money. Keep in mind- absolutely no one else was at the establishment. We were literally the only table and patrons. At an OUTDOOR picnic area. This business is disgusting and I will absolutely never be returning. If I could give zero stars, I would. *It's one thing to have a policy in place. It's another thing to not inform customers of said policy, take their money, let them sit down and wait over 10 minutes to get their food and then conveniently "remember." That's just bad business. This girl seriously told us we could either leave or PUT OUR DOG IN THE CAR. On a hot, 80 degree day in Charleston, SC. I pray you don't have any pets of your own bc I would never leave my dog alone in a hot car for one second. Learn how to treat customers and their loved ones. Oh and maybe write your policy down on your arm while you're at it since it's so difficult for you to remember.

It’s just ok. Friendly staff and good service, but we have ordered a variety of items from here, and none of them were remarkable. The brisket was strange. Odd seasoning and a bit tough. I’m from Texas, where bbq is taken very seriously, so I know what good bbq is. If you want great barbecue in Charleston, go to Lewis bbq downtown. It’s the real deal Texas bbq. You will not be disappointed.

Sunday brunch with mimosa's and brisket and gravy hash, shrimp taco and chicken biscuit and gravy. Delicious food at a reasonable price with picnic tables in the back. Will come back for more.

If you wondered if you should try it, you should! Great service, and incredible food. We had the breakfast tacos, brisket cheesesteak, grits, and grilled shrimp taco. I can’t say which was the best because every bite was amazing

My cousin is a foodie and she steered us right to this little spot! You order in the front and you can eat right in the back. Picnic tables and garden lights! They also had a huge chalkboard for the kids to write on and ice cream available on the side of the building. Our kids loved it, family loved it and it was delicious.

First time getting food from Braised in the South. Corned beef and cabbage dinner. It was perfect! Will , the young man that works there is so nice and professional.

Middle aged blond woman with glasses working the Ice Cream window. Condescending, rude and petty...(shortened my portion) Ice Cream was awesome though.

I am a big bbq fan. From Austin to Zanesville I’ve had a lot of bbq. The brisket taco was good and my wife had a taco without the flour tortilla both were very good. Here’s where the game changed. I am a big collard greens fan as well and I’ve NEVER had better. To say his collard greens are good is a major understatement. They are in another league. I will definitely return.

Don’t miss this! We were staying in Kiawah Island and saw this as we drove by. Knew we couldn’t miss something with this name and a cast iron skillet logo! The Sunday brunch was awesome. Would get the brisket & gravy and the tacos every day. The sticky buns were a little much for us- they are drowning in sweetness. The cornbread waffle was the best waffle I’ve had with the berries and cream as the perfect toppings. I also want to give a shout out to their kid friendly bathroom. Had a changing table, wipes, and even a toddler toilet seat option. Very thoughtful for parents bringing little ones.
