We loved everything! Cheese crisps took us back to our childhood. Seafood was exact what I needed on a steamy day.

Gingerbug (Monday's ONLY). If you have not been, then you are missing out. Great staff, service, THAI food, ambiance. This is a bloodline from my fav restaurant in Charleston (Xiao Bao Biscuit). Support local food on our Island!
Bonus - Colectivo is amazing as well. This is coming from someone who despises expensive Hispanic food.

This place is an incredible Gem. Ventured over from Mount pleasant and was blown away by the atmosphere, the service and the FOOD! Between the four of us we ordered about half of the menu and everything was incredible. Also a killer selection of mezcals, tequilas and cocktails, nice wines and good beers. The giant windows and tucked away atmosphere and John’s island laid back vibes also a huge bonus.

We finally found ourselves at Colectivo, one of John’s Islands newest restaurants. It was fantastic! There was a laid-back vibe, and it was the perfect ambiance to try some new food and drinks, both of which were spectacular. We ordered the carne Apache, a steak tartare tostada, the meatball sopes, the ceviche and the crispy shrimp. Everything is served tapas style, for sharing, and every dish was better than the last. Wonderful creativity with the menu, and every dish was so fresh. The service was excellent. We will definitely be back!

Our party of 4 was treated to a great evening of Mexican treats. First, the margaritas were excellent and refreshing. The collard green tamal was best in show for appetizer. The guacamole and chips were also excellent. The chips were prepared differently from the usual corn chips..a nice change for sure. The tuna crudo and sea bass ceviche were notable. The Barbacoa (lamb) taco platter was a great main course. The pecan ice cream with fritter was a fine end to a great night of eating. Our server, Dena, and her assistant, Holden, provided us top notch service. This was or first visit and we'll be back! Plenty of convenient parking was an added bonus.

Food was AMAZING. We got the con Cochinita (Yucatán pulled pork) and meatball. Very generous portion and the flavor was on point. Also, the flour tortillas is the best tortilla I’ve ever had at a restaurant.
