We were a little concerned when no one was there, but we’re pleasantly surprised by the food. Our party of 7 all enjoyed the food. We will definitely be back when we visit the area again!
As a native Texan I grew up on authentic Tex-Mex and Mexican cuisine. El Rincon brings me back to my Texas roots with a menu of fresh, homemade Mexican dishes that put the local chain Mexican joint to shame. Let's start with the homemade chips and fresh salsa - not jar salsa too often served by other Mexican restaurants. The salsa had a great medium heat and was perfect with the still warm chips. El Rincon Chiapaneco is a lovely addition to JI. It's authentic. No, it's not gourmet for the American palette. It is; however, authentic. House made salsa, mole chicken that tastes as if I am in the Michoacán. Yes, they have beer and liquor. We also own a JI eatery and these guys are our new Tuesday night spot (we're closed on Tuesdays!)
